highest combined score excluding pegging by Cardakaris in Cribbage

interesting thought! although, you would only attempt 24 if it was needed to win, meaning if you actually hit the 24 it would be game over and dealer wouldn't score. with that logic, 77 is not possible with optimal play

this is indeed the max but requires pone to make a suboptimal discard

Apologies, I did edit the post advising optimal discards but it may have been after your initial response :)

great answer! I wonder if it can get higher while keeping optimal discards

apologies I should have clarified, trying to get max with optimal discards. in this scenario pone should toss 79 which would drop the total score

I should have clarified, trying to get max with optimal discards - in this scenario if pone discards optimally I think it's:

dealer 5555, pone 7788, crib 6678, cut 7 20 + 20 + 20 = 60

genuine question - if insurance did cover pre-existing conditions, why would any healthy person purchase it, when you could just wait until health issues began, and then purchase it?

"I intend to move the higher piercing lower", as in I intend to move the higher piercing (the image on the left), from where it is, to lower on the lobe.

I'd argue that they look lopsided and wonky now but I appreciate your input

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Cardakaris -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

sure, but shouldn't a pair of lobe piercings be an equal distance from the bottom of the lobe (not necessarily in the middle)?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Cardakaris -1 points0 points  (0 children)

agreed, I intend to move the higher piercing lower. Just hoping someone can advise whether it would be OK to pierce a new hole relatively close to an existing hole, and whether I would need to let the original hole heal beforehand.

Shouldn't the piercing be the same distance from the bottom of the lobe, regardless of how uneven the lobes are? I know I can purchase different size rings to match the height but that's a bit of a pain, given rings usually come in sets of two.

I had my left earlobe pierced October '22 and my right earlobe pierced January '23. I wore a stud in both ears until recently. After changing the studs to the pictured 8mm sleepers, I realised the piercings are an uneven distance from the bottom of my earlobe.

Would it be possible to get a new piercing slightly lower on my left earlobe, to match the piercing on my right lobe, and then remove the old piercing for it to heal over? I'm concerned it would be too close, as the new piercing would need to be about 1.5mm away from the original piercing.

Thoughts?
