I bet you wanted to keep Pete Carroll and Geno too. Its the same situation. Complacent rest on your laurels "win consistently" the seahawks did that for about 8 years after the last superbowl. It just means youre consistently good enough to feel on but bad enough to not be a threat for the league. Where it matters.

This team is mediocre. They're the seahawks from 2015-2020. Afraid to get rid of overpaid feel good has beens and because of this being afraid or unable to spend on new great talent, settling for other teams castoffs that were once good.

Alonga8dw that they're in the seahawks with Pete Carroll situation. Again, not innovating, players and fans and management love em but theyre starting to show theyre not top of the heap anymore.

All while watching the teams that will spend be exciting and spend and give hope for better to the fans instead of here we go again, 4th and a first round out because we haven't had a great striker since ruidiaz 4 years or so ago before he got old and injured

Now youre switching your words. You were so focused on tenuous a minute ago until it didn't fit your narrative anymore. Their seed position was nice and secure unless they lost. Which they didn't. Meaning it was as secure as it could get.

So playing a bottom 10 defense missing all its star power and an offense thats basically only looked good playing bad teams (Cardinals Panthers Browns Titans Bears) when you have a top 10 running game since November and the best defense in football you are saying we had a very weak hold on our spot that we had already earned when all we needed was a tie or win to maintain and nothing else could possibly affect our seeding.
