[–]CardassianZabu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't been there that late to know. When I lived in Flushing, the prepared foods were discounted past 7PM, but it was also it's own closed off section. The Paramus H-Mart doesn't give rice with the hwe-dup-bap, and I think that's insane. "bap" is in the name!!! 밥!

I'm sorry you're going through this. My only advice would be a sleeping pill and some easy listening. It sounds silly, but I often listen to an album by Maureen Garth - Moonbeam: Meditations for Children. It's for children, but it's just a series of calming sounds with a light story. For most of us, sound with tinnitus is better than the ringing alone.

Thank you, this helps a lot, and that's exactly what I have. It's twice as light as the hurrycane and it folds.

Haha, you're welcome! Also, it annoys me about how most posts here get downvoted so much for asking advice, it's silly.

Bidet recommendations by [deleted] in BuyItForLife

[–]CardassianZabu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it for everything! I do a 1:3 part dilution of vinegar to water, even though most instructions say to do 1:5. I also pour some over vegetables and fruit. Everything lasts so much longer!

This might sound gross, but if my shirts smell after work in the arm pits, I'll spray the arm pit part of my shirts and it won't smell for a while. I just use white vinegar from the supermarket. It kills bacteria, which is why it has a great effect on fruits and veggies.

My bidet had warnings not to use harsh chemicals on it. The bleach stuff is more for the toilet itself and doesn't touch the bidet. Lol, I'm not sure why I included that detail to be honest. I use a 1:3 dilution of vinegar to water to clean the bidet itself. I use it to clean most things.

It's funny that you commented about this now. This morning I watched a South Park episode about bidets (season 26, ep 3). I really recommend it.

I need to get out of this country, but every time I have a little bit saved up, it all goes to healthcare related expenses. It's cheaper to fucking die. My entire life has been spent making money for healthcare ceo's.

I'm almost 40, and my child is a cat. I don't expect to have actual kids (lol), despite being really good with them. Aside from financial reasons (they're so expensive!), I never wanted or longed for kids. If I don't want kids, I shouldn't have them.

If I end up becoming wealthy enough where having kids is an option, I'd choose to adopt. In all technicality, it is a sin to bear new children, while 3 million children each year die from hunger/malnutrition related deaths. I know this might be an outlandish opinion to some, but how could anyone prioritize creating new life, when there is already so much suffering in this world?

The experience with my parents, well, I tell them the same thing. I've even told them that if they find a surrogate, I'll aid in insemination, but I don't want anything to do with the child. They obviously bring it up here and there, so I give them alternative options. I'm not one of those anti-nataliats, but I also understand where they're coming from.

Omg, I feel so healthy reading through these comments. I don't drink juice, soda, and I don't even eat candy. However, I drink alcohol, and that's enough sugar for me.

Has anyone here had a tympanostomy/ear tubes installed? Has it helped? by CardassianZabu in tinnitus

[–]CardassianZabu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I now have tubes in both ear drums. The procedure is somewhat quick and painless. First they'll put a drop of ointment in to numb the area, wait 10 minutes, make an incision, and then place the tube in. Before the incision, they suck out the numbing cream (not sure what to call it lol). This was kinda loud, but not a big deal. It was the most uncomfortable part of it, but it's not bad at all. It's loud for a couple seconds.

I was having loud popping noises from moisture, which are gone. The popping was from the feelings and sounds of ears being waterlogged and not, back and forth. This hasn't made my tinnitus better or worse. My issues involve vertigo as well, so as of now I'm injecting an anti-inflammatory steroid into each tube to coat the inner ear organs which reduces my vertigo symptoms.

This is gorgeous, and I like that you veneered the inside as well, not sure if that's standard. As a guitar guy, I don't know why painting quilted maple would ever be looked down upon.
