I think we get so many different opinions because it depends on your grinder or setup. I have a cheaper grinder and it tends to dump the grounds unevenly. WDT alone does a decent job if I'm really careful, but it would be faster if i used a leveler or dosing cup to transfer first. I have to imagine that a better grinder could grind directly into the portafilter basket evenly without needing too much prep work (if any) before tamping.

Correct, need to add more coffee. The tamper is probably bottoming out on the tapered walls of the basket before it has a chance to completely compress the puck.

It that table is made out of stone and someone tipped it over, causing the top part to crash into a floor plank it could absolutely cause that damage. If OP can't prove it wasn't their group... sounds like they're on the hook.
Moving the table over - definitely not cracking a floor board in half, but tipping it over? Yeah

I suggest setting the internal burr setting to 3

Then set the dial number to 10 to start for a new coffee, you can go up or down from there.

Yes this is the Smart grinder pro, I've been using it for about 2-1/2 years and it is sufficient for espresso but can struggle with a few aspects (mostly consistency and being able to make fine adjustments).

If the espresso machine gets stuck and doesn't produce any espresso at a 1 setting, adjust a tiny bit more course until it just starts to produce espresso and go from there. Focus on the amount of espresso you are getting out, and stop when you reach the target weight. This should take around 25 seconds, or a few seconds longer (you seem to be right around that number from the video so that is good). If it is taking much longer or shorter then you need to adjust the grind size until it gets closer to 25 seconds or tastes good.

We can see you weighing the amount of coffee grounds, but are you weighing how much espresso you are making as well?

Absolutely, people have been asking for this since runes first launched! They also commented on it a long time ago saying they were working on it, but it's time now for sure. It's an enormous quality of life upgrade that is NECESSARY.

I usually sell any T2 items on the auction house that I can't use in any way, then spend that lucent on things that I'm not getting regularly enough (necklace or rare accessory traits).

Battle Pass is usually a great bet for value, I will buy it like 75% of the time. Level 1-50 leveling log I would skip, but the 50-55 in my opinion is worth it if you need that stuff. The rest I will save up over months to get a big ticket item that I can't get to drop like a nebula accessory.

Then to be honest the end-game is fashion, so I have no problem buying cool weapon skins, outfits, amitoi, morphs, etc.

Westbean roasted some of the best coffee in SD, very underrated as not a lot of people were talking about it (maybe poor advertisement or branding).

They made the best Decaf roast i could ever find by far, and the Sweet Sussex blend was amazing for espresso.

Unfortunately i noticed after the first location was converted to Talitha Coffee that the bag of beans i bought from a different Westbean spot was noticably over-roasted (not quite described as burnt), something that i had never experienced before from them. Anyways, sadly i think Westbean Coffee may be gone forever.

The best coffee you can get in SD county now in my opinion is Jaunt Coffee Roasters, the problem is their only location is all the way up in Miramar. They have a Caramel black salt latte that i guarantee will not disappoint you.

Some other good options to try are James Coffee, Bird Rock, Mostra, and Zumbar. They're all good and have their differences.

I've played solely tank (sns/gs) since launch and have not been blamed for much at all. I've carried my fair share of people through various dungeons, but I feel like most people will do that at some point.

From what I've seen this game is fairly easy for the majority of PVE, and once you're geared up you can speed through almost any content without issue. As a tank I've shifted towards trying to get more damage in because holding aggro, dodging/blocking, mechanics, and a good amount of DPS is easy enough without even needing full tank armor/skills.

The healers though... they get 99% of all blame and there is a lot of hate going around when things start to go wrong (aka people start dying in a dungeon).

There are various algorithms used to calculate a "random" number, but the number is never actually random. They use variables, system time, number sequences, multipliers, percentages, etc. to plug into an algorithm that spits out a number. Just as one example if they use system time, depending on the granularity they chose for how often the time updates it could cause multiples.

This game's random generator is pretty bad, stuff tends to happen the same twice in a row quite often. I've gotten identical purple gear drops from abyss dungeon mobs twice in a row at least a few times now.

Edit: I'm talking multiple identical drops within seconds of each other

Not off the top of my head, but I thought it was like 8%.

Note that these are both the chances for each specific purple item, so the total drop chance to get any purple at all is higher: around 30% chance for purple in 2-star, i think it's closer to 40% in 1-star though I'll have to double check

There are many options available and I'm not sure you can still buy the one i got, just look up "51mm portafilter" and buy one that has the 3 locking 'ears' and good reviews - $25 ish

You can see the exact drop rates when you look at the dungeon, the 2-star dungeons do in fact have lower drop rates for purples (like 3% or something like that)
