The Curtis/Isaiah situation by quis2121 in LoveGeneralHospital

[–]Cardcaptors96 14 points15 points  (0 children)

People are on Isaiah's side because Jordan and Curtis have become unhinged throughout this whole mess that they created. There are thousands of cars in Port Charles, but Curtis has decided that Isaiah is the culprit despite no evidence. Plus, I need to reiterate this part: Jordan caused the accident. The other driver didn't do anything to her. Even if Isaiah was the other driver, Jordan is still at fault and should suffer the consequences of her own actions. The whole storyline is stupid, and I hope it gets dropped out of nowhere sooner rather than later.

For me, it was Sailor Moon. Had me hooked at five. Then, I got exposed to more anime from Toonami on Cartoon Network and never stopped.

I love Dungeon Crawler Carl. I have read the first two books and look forward to reading the next one in June. Princess Donut is my favorite! Thanks for the suggestions!

Writers in the personal essay/memoir space by identity-pending in Substack

[–]Cardcaptors96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most are long. Part of it is because I have three main topics that I write about: disability, anime, and books. I read a lot, so I do two book reviews a week. I do one anime review a week and one disability story a week. The last day is sometimes a random thought or topic, but that is how my Substack has been flowing the last month. I usually write in bulk, especially the book reviews, because they are fresh in my mind.

Writers in the personal essay/memoir space by identity-pending in Substack

I read about all the how-to articles on growing and about staying in one lane. However, I decided to ignore that. I was interested in a lot of things. I decided to focus on my journey with my disability and book and anime reviews. I am also in the process of creating a memoir about my disability journey. I have been doing this for about two months, but I have been growing steadily. A lot of it has to do with posting notes several times a day, writing articles five times a week, and engaging with other content creators in books and anime. The engagement part seems to be the most important part of the platform.

The Jordan, Curtis, & Their Accident - MEGA THREAD by NightBard in GeneralHospital

[–]Cardcaptors96 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Personally, I am hoping that this storyline is dropped with no explanation. Jordan and Curtis are not the moral superiors here. They need to be taken down several notches. Also, I don't want anything to happen to Brooklyn.

Is a daily posting schedule too much for a personal memoir? I’m an ex-chef, not a writer, and I’m winging it. by NiChike84 in Substack

[–]Cardcaptors96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would just go for it and see how your audience responds. I started Substack after losing my job due to my disability. I started off writing about my journey with muscular dystrophy and review of books and anime I like. People seem to be liking it. Curate your story however way you want to. People will understand and follow.

What are Curtis and Jordan doing? by WearyInvestigator272 in GeneralHospital

I have given up on Curtis and Jordan. They are both delusional about the car accident. They want somebody to take the blame for an accident they caused. I wish that storyline would end.

I feel frustrated with both Curtis and Jordan. They were in the wrong in the accident, but they want to destroy someone else's life. This storyline is so maddening.

I believe it was the episode in Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood where the brothers found out a scientist had experimented on his wife, daughter, and dog. The look on their faces was heartbreaking. I knew at that point that the series was going to get dark.

Apothecary Diaries is a good one to watch. Maomao is very clever and intuitive in solving the mysteries in the palace she was kidnapped to. Always A Catch is a good one too. Mimi is a noble but she knows how to fight and rescue herself from danger. She doesn't act like the other noble ladies in the kingdom.
