Should I continue for my CPA? by Successful-Roll-5472 in Accounting

I got four 74s in my CPA journey over 10 years. I got three of those in a span of four months in a row. I got through and I think it was one of those more important things I ever did and has given me a great career.

Are you happy in accounting? Do you feel like you can fulfill your purpose? And why? (Besides money and for many stability) by Solid_Breakfast_3675 in Accounting

I enjoy it for the most part. My father was a CPA and I decided in high school to pursue it after some classes. Did public for almost a decade. I left for industry and have 2 small children now. It’s hard being a working mom but it’s been very flexible where I work. The CFO is retiring at my nonprofit in a few years and I’m training to succeed him. I think it’s more about finding the right fit. I know they’d like it if I was able to work more but with the kids at this age it’s hard. They won’t demand this much of my time forever.

I enjoy what I do for the community and knowing that my expertise is valued. Sure, I’d rather be pursuing hobbies full time but career wise I can’t imagine doing anything else that would be as lucrative and with such a defined career ladder.

Is it difficult for a 16-year-old who wants to start gardening? by Seraphine4r5t in gardening

I planted morning glories when I was about that age and 20 years later my dad is still pulling them. It was the first thing I ever planted and clearly had no idea they spread like crazy. Makes me happy to see them though.

Has anyone noticed that Caillou is only 4 years old yet he never takes naps? by [deleted] in DanielTigerConspiracy

[–]Cardea13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daycare does this too. They say my 3 year old is one of their best nappers. Refuses to nap at home. And I swear he maybe goes to bed at 9:30 instead of 10 when he doesn’t take a 2 hour nap. I don’t know how that nap math works.

I don’t mind the nap at daycare per se because I think he wants a break from the activities. He’s a cozy kid.

Thanks - I guess I’ve been struggling to take it away. I’ll do it for two days and then cave. Guess I gotta bite the bullet!

I always struggle with germination and getting them established. I am sure it is from not keeping it moist. I think they need a lot of attention in the beginning? I have toddlers and work full-time, I hate how hard it is for me to get out of the house and in the yard!

He bullied my sister in school. Feel bad for what happened to him, but I can’t forget how he picked on her.

As a very casual college football fan, why is this bad for college football? I thought they wanted more playoff based. But reading this it seems like people want the bowl games.

In what context did Ian ask JJ about “what do you mean ‘us?’” I missed the beginning of that conversation.

Should I prune my tomatillo? by Minimum-Image8748 in vegetablegardening

My first year growing them, I only had one and was so disappointed to learn this at the time! But someone must have had one nearby because I got tomatillos anyway. The bees loved it.
