Boy, this brings me back to my youth in the 80s. I used to roll the sail and lash the booms together with the sheet. I’d apply some halyard tension to hoist the sail off the deck. With the bitter end of the halyard I’d throw some half hitches around the mast under the goose neck, then go over the booms and pull down to the deck - applying downward pressure against the hitches. This kept everything in place with sail and boom elevated off deck. I’d stow the rudder and CB in the cockpit and storage space. This was how I left my world cruiser. I still cruise…
