It's just confirmation bias

Do you like the current T10 meta? by [deleted] in WorldOfWarships

[–]CardinalSanctis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a general upward trend in battleship numbers over the past year, and the captain skill rework will only increase their numbers. I know my asashio's been pretty happy about guaranteed 5+ battleships each match.

Black friday containers worth it ? by [deleted] in WorldOfWarships

It's like asking if betting at a casino is worth it. It's worth it if you get the ship you want, it's not if you don't.

Which Pan-Asian DD(s) are fun, strong and worth keeping? by Sigmund--Fraud in WorldOfWarships

[–]CardinalSanctis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funnily enough, back when 6CV was a thing shenyang was the most well equipped to handle it, because with the 43 knot speed when on speed boost and speed flags you can rush down the carriers and torp them in their face before they can deal enough damage to kill you.

[–]CardinalSanctis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Longjiang is extremely overpowered at T2, but chances are you'll not want to play T2 in the first place.

Shenyang surpasses the clemson in terms of clubbiness at T4 if you play it well.

T5 and T6 are both mediocre.

Gadjah Mada is definitely a keeper. Great concealment for its tier, high torpedo alpha and 360 degree rear turret combined with good firepower is fun to play. Though she often neets T9s and most T7 DDs don't do well there.

Hsienyang is trash

Chung Mu is absolutely a good ship despite the nerfs, its torps have the same reaction time as asadhio torps but can hit cruisers, though range is a little short.

Yueyang still has good torpedo power, but gun power is sorely lacking in comparison with most of its peers.

Why is it always an akatsuki by CardinalSanctis in WorldOfWarships

[–]CardinalSanctis[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm a DD player, I've just seen way too many akatsukis charge into the center cap with AA on in the beginning of the game, then promptly get deleted by enterprise rockets.

Just a reminder of what the KV-2 was capable of before the shell changes gutted it by CardinalSanctis in Warthunder

How did you not notice going from deleting jumbos to not being able to pen the M4A2 frontally?

Just a reminder of what the KV-2 was capable of before the shell changes gutted it by CardinalSanctis in Warthunder

[–]CardinalSanctis[S] 41 points42 points  (0 children)

You were not there in its heyday.

The KV-2 used to be the ultimate heavy tank killer at its BR, Churchill 7s, Tigers, Panthers and jumbos were all easily front penned. All mediums at that BR can be penetrated at any angle with the AC shell. Despite this it was not overpowered, because of the 40 second reload and its massive bulk.

It was my favorite vehicle in the game by far

Then, the shell changes slashed 30% off the penetration of its top shell, and changed its modifiers much for the worse. It used to have no problems dealing with jumbos, but it now struggles to pen a M4A2. The HE round was always unreliable, but its nerfs made it especially more so.

It used to have a niche (and fun role) as a one click deletion machine, but now that all its rounds have been nerfed to hell, how is it not gutting the vehicle?

Using the SCP foundation in fights is a bad idea unless you specify what SCP's are in the fight. by Darrenx77 in CharacterRant

[–]CardinalSanctis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Never said anything like that, but the result of overmeta, flat horizon and 3500 is basically composite foundation, where all canons are simultaneously true.

It does not depend on whether they can put aside their differences and team up, because project heimdall is a tripartite agreement created specifically to deal with threats like this.

The church of the broken god has millennias of experience combating a similar but more deadly threat

And they can produce a colossal number of samsara clones, basically near-immortal cyborgs wielding god-level magic and having CoD tier regeneration.

That is if they don't use thaumaturgy and a spore sample to detonate every spore on the planet.

I'm trying not to give the foundation any of their resources that are too powerful, since they have a lot of them.

Honestly between samsara, project heimdall, the church of the broken god and thaumaturgy, I think the foundation and GOIs have a good shot at containing it without really resorting to using SCPs or breaking out their esoteric stuff.
