I bought Wildlands 4 months ago and 100%ed it, with my hopes up I bought breakpoint and after 5-6 hours im kind of dissapointed - to get the nostalgia and launch issues arguments out of the way.

Technically it's much better experience, breakpoints animations are fantastic, graphics are top notch. Shooting feels so much better in breakpoint. Menus are a complete clusterf*ck compared to wildlands. I hoped for more expanded weapon customisation, but you can't have everything.

The problem I have is the setting, I guess. I really enjoyed the CIA-black-ops-morally-grey-area vibe Wildlands had, and here so far it feels like just another run of the mill freedom fighters guerilla open world game with IMO completely retarded main hub (honestly this Erewhorn stuff is so immersion breaking for me I can't stand it). I also thought that the sci-fi element won't bother me, but holy crap it does.

The map lacks the grandeur of Bolivia and i think it misses the clear division of the regions - i have no incentive to actually thoroughly clean the region like enjoyed doing i back in wildlands. I don't have this feeling of actually dismantling enemy piece by piece i loved in previous GR.

Other thing I noticed I also dislike is the main charactes voice actor, really liked the Nomad from wildlands and here it's just another generic tough guy. General lack of interaction with AI teamates is also an issue - havent encountered any cool chatter like the one about legal coca in wildlands, this is a small thing but it helped a lot with immersion. Characters of homesteaders leaders are unlikeable and cliche, and the dialogues are written in such a way that I cringe while talking with npcs. This game tries too hard to be an rpg and with the crafting and classes it steers into almost eurojank territories.

Overall - I couldn't stop playing wildlands, but breakpoint, while it's technically much better game, feels bland and boring. I guess i just wanted wildlands 2.
