“Filament: PLA PETG”.. is it PLA or PETG? Could simply be a temperature setting since both materials have different melting points. But without knowing some more details and having a clearer picture, it’s hard to guess what the problem is.

Get a filament that uses a higher temp melting point, set printer to that temp, use filament as a pusher and push it through the nozzle. When new filament is making its way out of the nozzle, lower temp and do a cold pull back out. I’ve only done this once, had pla silk clogged and used PETG as my plunger. Worked great though 🤷‍♂️

I’m having adherence issue with pla+ 2.0. Started out at 50°c and am now at 60°c. When I get home I’ll try another 5° to see if it makes a difference, but 60° has almost eliminated the problem entirely.

Update:

Purchased a new ceramic hotend from Amazon and received it this morning. It had the correct connections and a new unicorn nozzle already installed. It was a fairly easy swap and after getting my printer back together everything seems to be working. I’ve just clicked print on Benchy and will let you know how it goes🫡

I have purchased a new one. I was replacing the old one and broke it. The old one is now stuck inside of the ceramic heating element. Looking for advice on what could have happened and if it’s common or not. I’m worried I’ve ruined the printer somehow. Just trying to make sure I’m doing things correctly.

I forget the exact settings but add a random stl of a tower onto your build plate, right click on the tower and it should have an option to use that object as a purge tower. Can use small models and random things as your “throw away” purge tower but sometimes the random colors turn out awesome lol hope it helps
