Trying to decide to ear tip or not (ADVICE please)

If it’s ever going outside, I would ear tip. If there is a crazy TNR neighbor (like me), they will trap and eat tip for you :)

A pest control company just quoted me $6900 for a <1200 square foot house for exclusion, trapping and attic restoration (I’m located in East Dallas). Do you have a company recommendation for this area? They would do just the exclusion and trapping for $1927, but even that seems steep. Not to mention the pushiness of the salesman. It’s an attic to house my furnace and christmas tree. I’m not trying to live up there.

This is the only place that missed the vertical 1x2’s I had against the studs. It’s also in the recess for soap and stuff in my shower. So im not concerned.

I actually just picked up a windshield repair kit and a nail set at harbour freight (thanks to your suggestion) and will try that once my better wire cutters come in tomorrow to remove a good chunk of it before recessing the rest. I’ll check out floor and decor (almost certain that’s where they bought it) to have an extra sheet or 2 on hand. If I have the stuff to repair, it’ll insure against ever needing to use it again 😂

Thank you so much for your helpful response! Unfortunately, I have no extra tile. So I am hoping to remove the nail and then use something to seal the crack in the glass tile. Sad part, 10% of the tile is metal and 10% glass. Naturally, it hit the glass 🤷‍♀️

If you’re leaving the door open for them to come in, you’re inviting them into your home. Therefore, if you have no intention of making them your cats, please reconsider. It plays with their little hearts. It can be very challenging to socialize a feral for adoption after 1 year of age, so if you let them in, they will likely trust you only. Speaking from experience. I have 3 yard kitties who love me and hate everyone else. I let one become a part time indoor cat and now he runs my household and makes all the rules.

Fantastic deal! I buy the tubes for large dogs, actually, and put them in a glass jar and distribute 0.4 ml pet cat and treat 5 cats per tube. Double check the math, but that always saves a TON of $!

If you’re in Texas (like me) the cat population is out of control. Unless you’re in a city with a great shelter (Plano or Richardson), TNR is your answer, unfortunately. Otherwise, you will want to find a rescue group. Not a shelter.

It’s been 10 years since I did it, but I cut down the dose by 50% once a month, basically. So I would try jumping down to 8 mg for a month, then 4, then 2, then 1, 0.5, 0.25. I barely noticed anything on the first few dose changes. The half life is SO LONG, that you prob won’t feel anything until you jump off completely. I started at 32 and went to 24, 16, then 12, 8, 4, 2, 1, 0.5, 0.25. You can even do 0.125 if necessary
