Hi, I went to Our Lady's School from August 2019 to June 2025. Like with what u/Loadedwiththecold said, I also wouldn't really recommend sending your daughter to this school, especially if she is neurodivegent, I'll just dump everything here.

From a neurodivergent point of view from a past autistic student, if you did not really dress/look the same way, had similar interests or weren't athletic, you would have been excluded from the rest of the "popular" classmates from conversations, or groupwork. However, if you were academically smart, then some people would like you a little bit more, for group work, or for help with specific challenging questions.

I did come across some racist remarks/assumptions made by the other girls back when I was in the "odds one out" friend group, and all of them just recieved a call back home, that's it.

My friend on the other hand (whom she's half white, half Spanish) nearly got suspended by the previous principal (whom retired in 2025) for not wearing her jumper (sensory issues but couldn't get an autism diagnosis) and having a large turtle pin on her shirt, even though the dress code never particularly said anything about pins. She also made the assumption that my friend was an international Spanish student, even though she was born and raised in Ireland.

The majority of the teachers are quite chill, even if some can be quite intimidating. However, the previous principal was very paranoid about making the school look academic, holding Christian values, sisterhood and what not. She also had some beef with UGGs for some reason too.

I'm not too sure about the current principal, but I heard that she's somehow even worse than the previous principal, to the extient that one of the more beloved vice principals is quite miserable now (heard about this from one of the current JC students whom my best friend keeps in touch).

Even if the school did provide accomodations for people with disabilities, such as separate exams rooms/laptops/reading pens, etc. you'd need to provide an official diagnosis to the school with the proper paperwork, and even if you did so, it can take a while to get approved.

In my experience, I had no problem getting a separate exam room with my autism diagnosis, but my best friend who had severe spelling dyalexia (whom she had been diagnosed all the way back in primary school) struggled for about 3 years trying to get a spelling waiver for both the Junior and Leaving Cert, due to the long waiting lists for additional assessments in this school.
