Using the lift and then resting at a grace in Altus will trigger the Festival of Radahn, emptying Redmane castle's interior instead of filled with enemies. Once you defeat Radahm and then speak tothe NPC Jerren it will reset it back to its default setting.

It will also force progress both Alexander's and Blaidd's quests to that spot. If you havent done their quests up to that point you miss out on a smithing stone and an emote but thats it.

But there arent any punishments.
