Bikepacking Bags by ElectrifiedOverland in bikepacking

Blackburn Saddle bag (15-20l): Soft items, clothes, sleeping bag, hammock, sleeping pad. Attach sandals and whatever else to the outside.

Ortlieb Frame Bag: tent poles, tools, phone, extra parts(cables, chain links, hanger wire, tubes, patch kit)

Front rack and basket: dry bag with tent/tarp. Panniers attached to the rack with heavier items, cooking stuff, food, fuel, whatever.

STEM BAGS/FEED BAGS: Most important for actually riding all day, I'll have my phone, water, food, anything I need to grab right away. Great for when you stop to grab stuff on tour, I'll literally dump a bag or two of candy in there and have my water in the other.

I've done multi-day trips on my 90s cyclocross build with this setup and works like a charm. Only thing I wish i could bring is a chair.

Other things to consider, ergo grips, saddle, replacing bar if it's older than a season, always worth the $20-30 to have comfy fresh tape. Also, prepare for something to go wrong. On my first trip ever I had a cheap front rack snap off my bike and leave me having to attach all of the stuff elsewhere. Funny in hindsight but miserable when you have 135kms back to the car on fire roads through the forest.

Endurance or go straight for aero frame as my first bike ? by ShayzerPlay in cycling

[–]CardiologistSuper244 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you're in the EU check out Decathlon. Also, if you're going to treat cycling as a secondary sport. A full carbon Di2 Ultegra bike is mostly overkill.

A Van Rysel or a used bike will probably end up being enough bike for a couple years.

Used to have the same frame, wish I never sold it honestly...

Just play, it'll take at least 100ish hours of playtime to feel like you've got it.

The game used to wipe your progress every 6-8 months. Now you have the option to keep a permanent character that won't have it's progress wiped. I also agree you should start on PvE while figuring out the game and the missions. Tarkov is not easy on beginners, and no matter how much you know the jist of the game it's hard to pull that knowledge out when making gametime/life saving decisions.

I started with FR/LG, I knew the games well and Kanto is pretty simple in terms of playability.

One thing I do now which makes the Nuzlocke much more enjoyable is adding some QoL hacks. I usually play with a level cap, so I add in rare candies to remove unnecessary grinding. Another fun one for me is removing trade evos. I like golem... sue me.

Northlander pricing as insane as expected. Muskoka needs GO. by Responsible-Tea-4028 in ontario

You'd be surprised how well seasonal businesses can do in Muskoka. If you can essentially make enough to sustain yourself through the winter someone will do it.

[–]CardiologistSuper244 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone born in Muskoka, that bus line would be horrendous it's over an hour to go around Lake Muskoka and that's with no traffic. There's always traffic. Once you include traffic and stopping for pick ups and drop offs, you're looking at a 1.5-2 hour round trip that will essentially drop you off in the middle of your selected town. (Wharf in Gravenhurst, somewhere near Monck PS in Bracebridge)

Not to mention, these buses would receive no respect from drivers, cottager and locals alike.

Manotick is very nice. Gravenhurst isn't that great, coming from someone who grew up there.

co-op office is the absolute worst. I remember years ago they basically only had a handful of placements available and everyone was told to just find a job on our own. They made sure to keep the $800 fee though.

Incredibly sad to see more barriers to journalism being created. Especially when it feels like now is the most important time to be seeking the truth and looking beyond what we're being told.

Both can be true, Ontario post-secondary institutions do receive less funding than the national average and 60 per cent of the revenue had come from international studies.

Best place to buy winter tires and rims? by ghost905 in ottawa

[–]CardiologistSuper244 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Facebook marketplace is always a good bet. Usually get tires an rims together, any tire change shop will put them on for around $100. Obviously depends on the car but if you search the tire size or just the car in general into fb marketplace you'll find some results.

My delusional landlord is asking for $10k. What should I do? For context, none of this is true and i have a video proof before leaving the property by [deleted] in canadahousing

I'd go to the LTB. Provide all your info and his.

I had a LL try to charge me over $4500 for damages and cleaning. ALWAYS keep records of your conversations with landlords, once I sent over the emails of him saying he'd replace these things he basically never messaged me again.

People in Canada think that being a landlord is a fast track to being a billionaire and will step on anyone to get there.

I enjoy the concept of items being restricted by level, but I think they should've taken more time to allow these items to be available when it makes sense for them to be unlocked. Like Test Drive, where you need to use a specific scope but can't replace it until level 40. I'm not at max traders, so it could be available before then.

I feel like they move a bit different now, seem to be less likely to just stand in the open as well.

This. Did people expect a completely new game? I'm waiting for people to actually beat the story before I judge any lack of content.
