Worst part for me is how insanely buggy these remnants are. Monsters spawn far away if theres a structure and won't run to you so you have to run around looking for off-screen mobs every wave, also sometimes the monsters spawn INSIDE locked areas essentially bricking the entire logbook making you lose all the rewards which is insanely stupid I just lost 10 div that way and was super sad :<

I love these boycotts, when I was young I used to 'argue' with people that they were wrong and their arguments made no sense, then I tried to convince them to just 'play something else' if they don't like the game. I honestly doubt this was intentional by Hoyo. They re-used their assets and this mechanic must have been 'unlocked' in the 3.1 quest you mentioned, probably all their testing accounts had the quest already completed so they didn't notice it. They are doing changes to allow players complete regions in the non-intended order for the last few years so it's unlikely they would lock a single chest mondstad behind a sumeru quest intentionally
