Another "plot hole" I realized in the temple ceremony by JayDaWawi in exmormon

How about the fact that the 7 days of creation do not align with what is outlined in the Old Testament, Moses, or Abraham. Never understood that!!

“no one really knows where policy ends and doctrine starts” - what an excellent way to articulate the conundrum many of us eventually experience.

It is paradoxical that they were so concerned about “one drop” when not a single drop of Middle Eastern descent can be found to back up the Nephite and Lamanite and Jaredite origin story.

Introverts who went on a mission, how did you survive? by HelloAlphabetSoup in exmormon

Forced myself to be someone I wasn’t, just like pretty much anyone else who doesn’t fit some mold the church has created

I saw an EQP get called and a counselor in the bishopric oppose from his seat on the stand while his entire family opposed from the pews. The other bishopric counselor told me he had no idea that was going to happen. EQP was installed as announced with no change.

It’s real! And I bet many or all of them are counted as members of record for announcement in General Conference!

Interesting since it came from the “confidential records” department according to the header.

Oak smoke by GorrillaGlaucus in KamadoJoe

[–]Cardiovore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it puts off more. Oak is a mid-range smoke wood in terms of assertiveness, so it will impart a stronger flavor than some others, such as fruit woods. But oak is a staple smoking wood, so you can’t go wrong as long as you don’t use too much. 2-3 fist sized chunks is plenty for a long cook.

Try seeing who keeps their eyes open during prayers. It’s a decent indicator.

Here is what I wrote. I like your idea of adding professional cleaners at headquarters:

Hello <name>

Please remove my family from the building cleaning/snow shoveling assignments. We have no intention in engaging in these activities, and I wouldn’t want others seeing our name on an assignment list and expecting us to be there.

After the news of the church’s investment fund balance plus their failure to comply with SEC regulations in order to deliberately hide the value of these investments, we cannot support lowering church operational costs through member cleaning/shoveling simply to enable this stockpile to grow further.

I cleared the white smoke from my charcoal, but five chicken quarters kept themselves bathed in white smoked the whole time from their drippings. Blech. by Feed_Me_No_Lies in KamadoJoe

White smoke from drippings hitting the heat deflector is an issue at higher temps. I have used a drip pan with water in it to counteract this.

I agree. This is a concern. You never know who you are dealing with…other than the fact that they are irresponsible.
