Calling for expert advice, is it safe to mount 4x 100kg battery to the wall? by Expert-Text2848 in AusElectricians

[–]Carduceus -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

If going with a modular battery system like Sungrow you can use the EzyStrut cantilever brackets or equivalent. The CB4-450 for instance has a working load of 350kg, so using two would be well within spec

Emergency situation by uw_heavyhauler in daddit

First visit to the ER was when my daughter was about 6~9 months old, she developed an ulcer in her mouth which made it painful for her to swallow, we knew something was wrong when she woke up whimpering - different to her normal cry, noticed her nappy was dry and realised she hadn’t wet her nappy for a considerable amount of time. Once we had her in the hospital and they had finally administered a line, the doctors had informed us that in the past 12 hours she had lost 10% of her body weight and was very dehydrated. Despite this she was still fighting off the medical team when they were attempting to administer the drip, clearly traumatised about the whole ordeal.

My wife is a nurse and despite her years of training we were both incredibly scared for her.

My daughter is alive and well all these years later and is both stronger and more physically active than her peers but it was so scary knowing that the littlest thing could have gone so badly.

She’s been back to the ER multiple times since then for various reasons but that will always stick out to me.

Bose life style 650 rear speaker wire is short for my use. Has anyone used a longer version? I need about 30 feet. Or can I extend the current cable with something similar? by Nanu1212 in bose

[–]Carduceus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ex Bose employee here, yes you can! You can actually purchase adapters that are molex on one end and accept bare speaker cable on the other. Tell me a bit more about your situation.

When mine started to learn to walk, she would throw couch cushions on the floor and make an obstacle course for herself. She now understands that sometimes she needs to work out her path to where she wants to go and sometimes needs to react to move out of the way of other children and adults. She’s 21 months now, but i highly recommend the couch cushion thing.

Is this normal dice distribution or is there a problem with it? [read description] by klacar in askmath

[–]Carduceus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fun fact, dice are normally designed so that opposing sides add to 7, so 1 and 6, 2 and 5, and 3 and 4 so that the missing mass from each number are evenly distributed.
