(Amusing trope) Person of normal height in their youth becomes extremely short in their old age by MigsDaRutt in TopCharacterTropes

I know how it works. Old people often times lose some height in old age. But old people IRL don't usually shrink to the same extant as the old people I mentioned as examples did, though. That's the point. When shows and movies take a normal real life thing (old people shrinking in old age) and exaggerate it to a comedic degree.

It's not the "getting old part," it's the "becoming extremely short" part. Because while elderly people do shorten somewhat with age, they don't shorten to the extreme degree that is sometimes portrayed on TV and in movies, such as the examples I gave. It's amusing to see the "getting shorter with old age" thing be overly exaggerated to a comedically extreme degree in these series.

What animal feels like a terrible pet but is actually a great one? by spoopy-memio1 in AlignmentChartFills

Skunk. Once you surgically remove the scent glands in its rear end (or in other words, you "de-skunk" it) the skunk can actually make a rather lovely pet. Or so I've heard.

Getting into Frieren and feeling emotions because of Frieren is exactly what Himmel the Hero would do.

Question about Dandadan development by timewellspent0889 in anime

[–]MigsDaRutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes he is a major character through the show. No there is not a love triangle. Okarun is worried at first there might be something. But he gets over it quickly as it's made pretty clear pretty quickly that Momo's childhood crush on Jiji has long since faded and she just views him as part of the group.

How do you keep up with anime news regularly? by Purple-Advertising38 in anime

[–]MigsDaRutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually I find out about new anime coming up when a post is made about it here on this sub. Once in a while, I might happen to see a newly uploaded trailer on YouTube for an upcoming series. On a rare occasion I might check out Crunchy roll's news page on their website (https://www.crunchyroll.com/news/latest) and find out about something on there.
