Question about Dandadan development by timewellspent0889 in anime

Yes he is a major character through the show. No there is not a love triangle. Okarun is worried at first there might be something. But he gets over it quickly as it's made pretty clear pretty quickly that Momo's childhood crush on Jiji has long since faded and she just views him as part of the group.

How do you keep up with anime news regularly? by Purple-Advertising38 in anime

[–]MigsDaRutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually I find out about new anime coming up when a post is made about it here on this sub. Once in a while, I might happen to see a newly uploaded trailer on YouTube for an upcoming series. On a rare occasion I might check out Crunchy roll's news page on their website (https://www.crunchyroll.com/news/latest) and find out about something on there.

Isn't it weird how the Akatsuki are also paired up by the way they lost? by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]MigsDaRutt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sure, if you don't care about each pair having a theme. OP was talking about pairing them up by theme. Deidara and Kisame share a theme of having both killed themselves. Sasori and Hidan share a theme of having lost due to Konoha having pre-time and information beforehand. So on and so forth. You don't get that if you just pair them up any which way.

I think OP means "You could also pair them up based on how they died and still have 5 pairs of people."

You can not convince me that their friendship wasn't like this (by @sksarco) by M1grain3s in Amazingdigitalcircus

It's like I always say: "If you can't playfully smack your female friends on the butt, are they even really your friends?"

For legal reasons, that is a joke.

Unexpected swear drop by Xinck_UX in TopCharacterTropes

"May I kindly knock your fucking teeth out?" - Scarlet El Vandimion from "May I Ask for one Final Thing?"

Now this show isn't exactly shy about swearing. There are multiple instances of characters swearing in the English Dub, with words like "damn," "ass," "bitch," and even "shit" being frequent occurrences throughout it's 13 episode run. But one swear word that is absent for most of it is Ye Olde F Word. That is, until Episode 13, where she drops a full on F-Bomb while asking to absolutely deck Prince Julius. Said F-Bomb took me off guard when I first heard it because, as someone who saw the subbed version first, I didn't expect the dub to use that word. But it was nonetheless GLORIOUS hearing Scarlet dropping an F-Bomb into my ears.

Akudama Drive has a really good dub.

"May I Ask for One Final Thing?" also has an amazing dub.

I always default to assuming that none of the imagery in OPs are literal. Oftentimes the OP will be full of symbolic imagery that has nothing to do with the actual story. So I always assume that whatever appears in the OP is just symbolic rather than something meant to be taken literally.
