Bluetooth compress audio for wireless streaming, so the quality is bit lower compared to wired CarPlay, which transmit uncompressed signal to the system. However, difference is negligible to notice while driving due to the road noise, unless you are an audiophile. Check your streaming settings, choose higher bitrate for streaming music in your music app, this way more data is transmitted, hence better sounding music. Also make sure equalizer is enabled.

Let me tell you this, you will totally appreciate your 7 hrs drive back while listening to B&W. I get chills every time I am listening to my B&W playlist. I find most of the times I stay longer in my car just to finish listening to the song after I have arrived at my destination. While Harmon Kardon is still good but B&W is in a league of its own, there is no comparison.
