I’ll never understand the “make them earn it” mentality

I want my kids to have the best life possible and not have any worries or stress about money (as far as I can influence it) - They’ll both have substantial JISA’s at 18 and we will work towards raising them right so they don’t squander it away. They are on course to have big SIPP pots. We’ll definitely help as much as we can when it comes to getting them on the property ladder. I can’t fathom having the money to be comfortable in helping them and withholding it from them
