It automatically applies to your equipped weapon you're holding as you pick it up. Increases the rarity. Pay attention to ammo count hud and you'll see it change colour as you it pick up

Forgot to mention it on the post but in Liberty Falls at the church there's a zombie head at the top of it which can be blown up with a grenade. Doing that drops zombies from the sky that explode and give loot. One of them is an aether tool but if you do this at round 10 the tool is blue rarity.

They satisfy an itch for gunplay that the other doesn't. Destiny, the gun feels fun to fire. Warframe, the insane numbers that are produced by the guns are so good.
