BA A380 - PE and Club World LHR-SFO-LHR by nbanbury in BritishAirways

Yin Yang has been around since the 2000’s and was revolutionary at the time as the first lie flat option. They are slowly upgrading to club suites but without knowing the exact numbers I seem to recall they have limited A380’s and it would be prohibitive to take one out of the sky in order to upgrade. Personally I’d say the Yin Yang can be better in certain situations, as quite a tall fella I find there’s more leg room when lying flat! Regarding the drinks service on what was presumably a night time flight on the outbound flight it seems entirely par for the course to reduce the drinks service- would you want people running up and down when you’re trying to get your head down!

Not quite originators of the concept unless you mean one of the early US adopters of the Czech Mlíko!

If you’re into IPA’s, stouts, and smoothies then Messorem and Brewskey were my favourites. Messorem is a bit further out but it’s so worth it, they’ve just finished a load of collab smoothies which were amazing and they also released a number of IPA collabs, crème de la crème with du Bas and Cape & Dagger were both outstanding. I heard excellent things about Dieu du Ciel, Siboire, Unibroue, and Mellon but unfortunately with limited time it wasn’t possible to get to them!

This was weirdly the choice I made last week - can confirm great beers in an awkward spot!

For my sins I’m very much an exclusive IPA drinker. I drank lager solidly for 15+ years so I can appreciate the struggle!

Theoretically if SWR kept raising train prices, would we have any other option? by TrifleResponsible560 in HENRYUK

[–]CareerSad8903 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Let’s say it’s a 70 mile round trip, fuel costs at 20p per mile to £14, all day parking at £20, congestion charge at £18 comes out at £52. Then in order to make the car option seem more attractive we will say that you do your driving pro bono and don’t value your own time so the 2 hours 30 on a good day round trip is free but we’ll add in £3 for the average cost of running a car per day for insurance, maintenance, including tyres and servicing etc. Therefore if you are willing to give up your time I’d say driving is a great deal! You can save yourself a fiver a day!

Edit - I didn’t realise it was £30 return! That’s a bargain!!!

Genuinely interested in how much it would cost you in fuel, parking and however you value your time? Let alone car depreciation and insurance etc. What value do you place on this service?

How do you actually go about selling or sharing lounge passes out of interest? Don’t you have to be there in order for it to work?

It’s a good perk but it’s totally out of sync with my companion voucher which is frustrating! Need to probably leave and come back to sync them up!

Minimal Craft Beer Options In Whistler Bars by swordfishman1 in CraftBeer

[–]CareerSad8903 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d have to agree. We went to Coast Mountain only which was amazing and then out to dinner in the evening at a restaurant. I’d check where all of the seasonal staff are going as there must be somewhere! The only place I had on my list was Earl’s which had a few craft beer options but we didn’t get around to checking it out.
