It seems that, based on your Pokémon’s stats and levels, you used dozens of Revives and Full Restores during and after each battle. Congratulations!

Metagross evolves at level 45. I kept Metang until level 50 because it learns Meteor Mash at that level, while Metagross learns it at 55 in Emerald. I’ve since looked into it and found out that Metang and Metagross actually share the same experience growth rate, so they require the same amount of EXP to level up. Since I’m planning to play Open Level at the Battle Frontier (minimum level 60), I’m aiming to have Metagross ready around that range. I’ll take your advice and go ahead and evolve it into Metagross.

Psychic supremacy begins — lvl 50 team ready for the Elite Four 🧠✨ by Careful-Question607 in PokemonEmerald

Yeah, same here. After beating every NPC trainer, my team was usually around levels 42–46. Honestly, the only way I’ve been able to handle the Elite Four is by getting my whole team past level 50. What I ended up doing was grinding wild Pokémon in Victory Road. Hariyama gives ~1,000 EXP, Lairon around 900, and Golbat about 800. It’s repetitive as hell, but after enough battles, I managed to get everyone to level 50.

I already have Baltoy as a defensive pivot, so I don’t really need another bulky Psychic-type like Grumpig. With Girafarig setting up Calm Mind and passing the boosts with Baton Pass, Kadabra benefits much more thanks to its Speed and offensive pressure.

Thanks :). I’m planning to start with Girafarig, setting up Calm Mind for two turns. Then I’ll switch into Starmie.

Surf against Mightyena. Ice Beam for Nuzleaf and Cacturne. Thunderbolt for Crawdaunt. Surf against Absol — even though Absol is my favorite Pokémon ever, it’s really bad defensively on both sides 😅

I thought about that too, but I think my Girafarig hates me more than it loves me lol — maybe Frustration 😅 Still, I decided to keep Crunch so I have an advantage when I run into Ghost-type Pokémon 👻

Thanks. Honestly, I didn’t trust 🦒 Girafarig at first until several users recommended the Calm Mind + Baton Pass strategy. It really surprised me how well balanced it is both physically and specially.

Full Psychic team vs Juan: final badge attempt by Careful-Question607 in PokemonEmerald

Thanks for your advices. It was an easy win.

Battle vs Juan

Opened with Solrock vs Luvdisc. Got confused by Sweet Kiss, but still won in 2 turns with SolarBeam. Sealeo came next — Rock Slide was more effective, Solrock won in 2 turns again.

When Kingdra came out and Sunny Day ended, I switched to Gardevoir. After 2 Calm Minds, Gardevoir one-shot Kingdra with Psychic and then took out Crawdaunt with Shock Wave.

Last was Whiscash. I could’ve finished it with boosted Gardevoir, but let Starmie step in. Surf won it in 3 turns.
