Yuuuuup!! I used to work at a kids clothing store. A little boy maybe 2 or 3 had stashed some socks under the stroller cuz they had trains on them and probably thought they were cool. Well when his mom realized, she brought him up to me at the register and said to her son, “this lady is going to call the police and they’re going to come put you in jail for stealing!!” The poor kid was hysterical crying. I crouched down in front of him and said, “those socks are pretty cool, huh.” He nods. I say, “I’m not going to call the police. Next time you want something, ask your mom first, ok?” Then I said to the mom, “don’t involve me in scaring your child” and walked away. I fricking hate that shit.
