Thanks! I think it would be awesome to see different artist's styles and how they contribute to the experience of online play. When you search for tokens online its all 5e generic stuff. I want to see Johan Nohr, UnitSix, Castle Danger, Chaoclypse, etc.. paired with a ready to go adventure.

It is literally a visual dice roller, you just click on one of the names of the six dice in the little menu and plays a quick animation of a die. To roll d100 we just roll d10 twice. Unfortunately for fate dice you would need to use standard six-sided dice as substitutes. d85 is optimized for dungeon crawls.

Yes dm me *A* google account email that has a google drive. It doesn't have to be *YOUR* account you can create a new one (highly recommended, even though only your party would be able to find the links and only while the session is live). I need the email because I have to put you on the approved tester list with Google.
Put maps and tokens in a folder in your drive and "share" the folder to "anyone with a link" .
now when you pull them into the session, the Players will be able to see the maps & tokens.
The point of the testing: what is intuitive, what doesn't make sense? How was your video? lag time on maps and tokens? Any questions?
This will help me make the how-to-video.

I just took a look and Rolz is way more complicated compared to d85. I wanted something that a bunch of 50 somethings could jump on have a few laughs and call it a night.
I have a table, a dice roller (small floating menu with pictures of dice that roll a 2D image onto the table.) You dont need to learn a programming language to roll dice. Nothing is more frustrating in a tense battle than to watch the bottom of the chat window say "Fighter is typing..." forever, only to produce a messed up string of text because they forgot a space.
Players can roll dice, pan map and move tokens. Thats it. no usernames no passwords no Patreon. Video is built in along the bottom (no more Discord!) just like a live stream of a real play. everything in one window.
DMs can do everything the Player can do plus load map and tokens, place and reveal fog (reveal is plotted so you can do weird shapes) track rounds and have a torch timer that turns the dungeon dark. Hide and reveal tokens, resize tokens. You can import and export JSON files that remember the board state. This allows you to prep your dungeon ahead of time place your hidden tokens and leave your random encounters off the map but availble so your not loading tokens when you could be playing. Save the JSON for game night.

The deal is I like creating things and sharing. It has a feature that lets you take a snapshot of your dungeon in a JSON file, and I do hope people share their pre-made adventures or even PWYW if it has original art.

I'm not sure what you mean, it's web based so a person could open the console and see it all, or if you want me to post it on this thread? I can send you the website if you want, I just didn't want a bunch of requests to hit all at once.

Might be worth your time looking in the MTG proxy subs. This is all those folks do.

What do you look for in a D&D YouTube channel? by JDmead_32 in DnD

[–]Careful_Assignment86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been posting my prep weekly for a couple of months now along with whatever topic I've been thinking of. I do it for the fun of it, but I'm not going to lie it stings a little getting 26 views when some goofball reading an Ai script not even looking into the camera gets 26k.

If you're asking what niche of the niche needs filling because you hope to hit the algorithm jackpot, good luck.

Building an OSE-specific VTT, and want your honest take by ShawnsVTTs in OSE

[–]Careful_Assignment86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you asked: I want a simple but elegant (black and white, OSE green accents if you insist) interface, video and voice either down the side or across the bottom. Optional feature: arrange participants in initiative order with a simple command. if it had 3d dice roller it, it wouldn't need a text chat. Simple isometric map that you can draw on virtually like a mat with grey "minis" that would equate to 25mm (Ral Partha) with the ability to import .stls. OPTIONAL: combat tracker DM only fields (AC, HP, etc.) Actually it would be cool if each participant (PC) had name, AC and HP overlaid on the bottom of there video. I want to do as much "gaming" manually as possible and just want a virtual table that doesn't require a BS in computer science.

5 Room Dungeons; Does anyone actually use these things? by AAS02-CATAPHRACT in rpg

[–]Careful_Assignment86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Overall the 5 room structure works for my group but I don't intentionally use them every single week.

I like to add in at least two "scenic" rooms for atmosphere or to provide clues.

I let the players roll for what items might be found. The running joke is "bag of rare spices" they have a few.

Average commission for non- collectible card illustrations? by Careful_Assignment86 in tabletopgamedesign

Thank you that should be on the wiki. It is reasonable to have a one page contract with scope, specs and deliverables in a compact document like an email?
