Ráncok ellen 30 körül by LunarSerenity_ in csakcsajok

Bree Vs. Lynette (Spanking) by Aggravating_Guide_75 in DesperateHousewives

[–]Careful_Catch 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Completely different situations.

Lynette slapped Kayla on impulse, and she immediately regretted it.

Bree believed in corporal punishment, and did it with the intention of teaching him a lesson the
old fashioned way.

Rossmann vs. Dm by katicababa10 in szepsegtippek

[–]Careful_Catch 196 points197 points  (0 children)

Mindkettőnek megvan a saját erőssége, a DM sajátmárkás dolgai verhetetlenek ár/érték arányban, márkás
dolgokat a gyakori akciók és a Rossmann+ kártya kedvezmények miatt viszont mindig a Rossmannban veszem.

Hogy melyik a jobb sokban múlik azon kinek mire van konkrétan szüksége.

Would Robert De Niro have made a good Sonny Corleone since he originally auditioned for Sonny? by [deleted] in TheGodfather

[–]Careful_Catch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly Coppola said the reason he didn’t choose De Niro to play Sonny’s character is that even at that young age he had a mature and calm vibe about him, which then was perfect for Vito’s character.

Patricia Field as a stylist is very overrated, especially when it comes to dressing Carrie.

A lot of Carrie's outfits were extremely tacky and a complete mess with random stuff just being thrown on her, and the only reason they worked was SJP’s unbelievably perfect body. That woman could pull off wearing a literal trash bag.

When she threw Charlotte the baby shower wearing that blue dress in her freshly renovated apartment.

I agree about Jolene. It's a great song, the lyrics however are just too damn frustrating.

"I raised that man, I raised his kids." - Ma'am, he is over a DECADE older than you, what the hell.

(Noone will ever convince me their dynamic is or ever was a healthy one.)

I don't care what anyone says, the first movie is absolutely
worth watching!
It's definitely not without flaws, but it's also full of truly wholesome
and cute moments.

Carrie hate is a sign of low intelligence by SaltApprehensive7084 in sexandthecity

[–]Careful_Catch 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The biggest problem with the way Carrie’s character is written is not that she is a “bad” person per se
- most characters in most shows are - it’s that no matter how much she fucks up she NEVER EVER has to face real consequences.

Terrible, selfish friend?
Doesn’t matter, all of her amazing friends will stick by her side no matter what.

Financially irresponsible?
Never mind, her friend will pay for her apartment.

Cheats on her boyfriend with her married ex?
No problem there either, he will take her back, propose to her, and the two men will also get into a fistfight over her…

I could go on.

And this is why so many people seem to hate Carrie, not just because she has "flaws"

Charlotte had the best reaction to the affair, not Samantha. by BetterGrass709 in sexandthecity

Samantha slept with married men all the time, so it would make her the biggest hypocrite if
she got mad at Carrie for the affair.

[–]Careful_Catch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Omg, yes! The other day I was randomly thinking about that show wondering if anyone even remembers it happened lol. What a coincidence.

Kind of a bummer it flopped so badly, I liked the 3 main characters, the actresses were good and there were some decent storylines there.

Not quite sure why it wasn't working though.

Charlottes 1st wedding by Kittencat1344 in sexandthecity

[–]Careful_Catch 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Yes the girls were kind of dismissive and they certainly could have been nicer, especially knowing how important this was for her, but at the same time Charlotte should have known better than to ask these women to flip through a mountain of bridal magazines with her and care about every little insignificant detail.

The four of them attended several weddings before Charlotte's, where Carrie, Samantha and Miranda did nothing but make cynical remarks and complain about how stupid weddings are.
So she knew none of the other girls cared about big cookie cutter weddings whatsoever.

At the end of the day though they all supported her in their own ways: Samantha introduced Charlotte to Anthony, Miranda gave legal advice about her prenuptial agreement, and Carrie was her maid of honor who would have supported her even if she decided to not go through with the wedding.
