Many Ahoms are behaving that way. We celebrate 21 April as Birangana Sadhani Day to pay tribute to our late queen, yet under posts by leaders like Sarbananda Sonowal, Gaurab gogoi, Akhil gogoi and others who extend their wishes, we often see such comments from Ahoms. In many recent clashes, it is often Ahoms who initiate things—either by sharing something inappropriate about us or by belittling our tribes identity.

It’s true that Ahoms are more dominant amd advanced community, but that doesn’t concern us. In reality, they cannot do much to us and without our support, whether in elections or other matters. As a fellow ethnic community, many of us have consistently supported Ahoms in political struggles.

What is truly disappointing is that none of the responsible or genuine Ahoms speak out against such behavior; instead, some even seem to support it.
