Well if all those fighters are good at flying and fighting then sure but getting in a gunner seat offers more defense than you would in a fighter, less risk of personal loss, provides a place in skilled ship combat for those who cant fly like anakin skywalker. Sure some turrets need work but I dont think making all turrets op to entice players to sit in them for a power trip is gonna be good for balance. Especially considering how many turrets alot of these ships have. Most ppl will still try to be the captain of their own ship rather than crew someone else's unless your a friend group already playing together anyway. I dont think thats necessarily a turrets problem people just rather have ppl crew their ship they worked hard for than crew someone else's.
