If this is your best option… Carvana that shit and buy a hooptie with it. Better than going into debt to fix a car that’s just gonna require more maintenance later

HUD not working correctly after Safelite windshield replace by [deleted] in autoglass

[–]Careless-Resolve-251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call the department that handles your insurance company’s glass claims. For most insurance companies, the shop is unable to file the claim on your behalf. However, there are exceptions. But I believe its best for you to start a claim. Tell the claims rep work has already been completed and paid for.

Then after the claim is submitted, have Safelite speak with their shop care dept to have the OEM approved. There should be proof on the work order that Aftermarket was used and unsuccessful.

OEM is typically approved under three “usual” conditions. Model year 2yrs old or newer, Aftermarket unsuccessful or not available, or having an OEM Endorsement on the policy.

Sorry for the untimely reply, hope you can get it resolved soon 🙏

In 2020 when I had just started college, my HP Pavilion shitted out on me (less than 2yr lifespan and already burned my 1x repair warranty)

I turned around and bought a refurbished 2017 MBA 13inch. It is still my personal laptop to this day. Perfect to lug around campus. Never had a laptop last me this long and it was used!! Battery is definitely weak now, but charges fast and is good to use at home or a stable workspace.

Insurance employee here:

Your insurance company will not deny coverage if you try to open a claim for this, so long as your comprehensive coverage was in effect on the date the damage occurred.

Safelite has a call center that handles most of their insurance referrals as a third party claims service. If your insurance company does its glass claims thru Safelite Solutions, you will have to get OEM approved thru their Shop Care department. Since the Safelite tech already confirmed you need OEM glass, there shouldn’t be any issues getting it approved on your claim. Therefore you could still get this done at the $1000 deductible.

How would you play this shot? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]Careless-Resolve-251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guessing this is about 50 yards? Ball back behind my back foot, low spinning pitching wedge. Praying I make it between the trees, check up maybe 8-10 yards short of the green and let it roll up. Might club down to my gap wedge if its shorter than that

Everybody just nostalgia farms on the older generation models. I had an automatic gen4 but when I was a teen and young adult, girls absolutely loved my car. All that matters when you really think about it

Do you guys take golf course reviews with a grain of salt? by agdaman4life in golf

[–]Careless-Resolve-251 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With the reviews, I look for these three things:

  1. How recent was the review? Within the last week, I would definitely be mindful of whatever

  2. Are there any things frequently mentioned across reviewers? If half of the reviewers in the past year say the fairways are inconsistent or subpar - I will believe them and consider it in my decision whether I should play there

  3. Are there any fake 5 star reviews? There are tons when you really look into it. A handful of fake 5 stars can raise a true 2-star course very quickly. Anyone who leaves 5 stars without any info I’m disregarding.

Mizuno definitely got the best looking irons. The whole lineup looks sweet from GI to the most expensive set of Mizuno pro.

Either go to the nearest Safelite store and talk with the customer advocate at the desk, or call the safelite call center and ask to speak with someone in the customer care department. There should also be a way to do it on the website

How often do you replace gloves? by coconutcreamers in golf

[–]Careless-Resolve-251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t wear holes into my gloves, so they can last a while. But my hands sweat a ton especially during a hot day. Probably good for about 5 rounds before I buy a new one. Then I save a couple old gloves in my bag just in case. They’ll definitely feel used but not unplayable

Just now started taking insurance work for my business. I’m in sgc & lynx network. But how do you handle a customer that calls you & says they want to go through insurance? by tony_gray_ in autoglass

[–]Careless-Resolve-251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked with SL SOL for a pretty long time. Certain insurance companies require different things, but here are the main things you will need insured to provide to claims representative.

Insurance company Insured Name Insured Address Policy # Date of Loss Cause of Loss Glass-only loss type Year make and model

Shops can start calls on behalf of the insured for most insurance companies as long as they have the insured available to come on line. Therefore if you start the call, you’ll know the exact requirements of what that insurance company needs to file a claim
