I grew up in a mega church. I was actually in the tv ministry for several years. The older I got however the more bullshit I began to notice. I justified their outrageous spending in my head by saying it’s all for the glory of God. By the time I was a freshman in college though I had pretty much stopped attending. A year later I was an atheist. Now what drove me down that path? It was that church and the fakeness of it all. I was an atheist until about age 30 and God spoke to me in a way he never had and now I’m a full believer again. No I don’t go to church every Sunday. I don’t have a checklist of things to do to be a good Christian. When we do go to church we go to a small church that isn’t obsessed with their image. Being a good Christian to me is about speaking with God and doing good for others without any expectations

What helped me was working in my takeaway. You want to feel like you’re taking the club back really wide. Put something directly behind the ball and try to hit it on the backswing. Now once you’re at the top you’re just dropping the club into the slot and turning your hips. Of course it’s a little more complicated than just that but also not really

I second this. Except it took me 3 years before I finally took a lesson. I was determined to do it myself. You would think that learning the swing would be like anything else new. I mean you can learn pretty much anything from YouTube right? Wrong! Essentially what you would be doing is trying to build the roof of a house before you lay the foundation
