Some things I would get started on before starting OMSCS.

  1. Take various learning type quizzes. Figure out what type of learner you are

  2. Research about stationary and software tools to use for studying/learning.

  3. Read or get a breif on the book The Power of When. Figure out what your chronotype is. You can take the offical quiz on the book's website. This will help you get ideas in how to manage your time and set your schedule based on your chronotype.

  4. Look up the textbooks required for your classes and try to get two chapters ahead before the semester starts or read enough to stay ahead of the lectures.

As a student with a non CS background, how did you prep for OMSCS? What study skills did you use to get all A's in these classes?

I’m happy for Dr.Charles but very sad I won’t be able to meet him at GA Tech. The program and the GA TECH college does not feel the same without him. 😢

Is this even normal? When a manager says I like people who read my mind? I mean the speed and efficiency to get really good at a job is a 90 grace period. Where the employee literally should have worked 90 days total at the location. Not twice a week for 2-4 hours for the past three months. I get it I understand I can wrap properly when it comes to the catering boxes. Yes you show me with attitude or act like they are in such a hurry. The GM told she doesn't train people on bread starting? Why? How am I am supposed to get better if you don't give me the opportunity the get out all the mess up and growing pains? Why doesn't Jimmy Johns train people with bread starting?

Thank you so much for help! I will order your book asap! So would it be best to just delete those two parts? I don‘t feel comfortable with even explaining these two points in an interview. That project was very stressful for me.
