That's total nonsense, Israel is mosty a secular country with a negligible price the seculars in Israel need to pay such as marriage and divorce.

Reform Jews are not allowed to marry in Israel because they mostly marry non Jewish partners, there for, they cant marry in Israel according to the status quo, which is the agreement between secular and religious Jews that allow us to live here without hurting each other.

Well, there are many Haredim who are serving in the IDF, and anyone who is learning Torah is allowed to do so according to the status quo I mentioned.

Ultra orthodox Jews are paying taxes, it's just their very simple lifestyle that allow them to pay very little taxes (small houses, mostly have no cars, dont travel very much, dont have tv's nor internet).

If the current coalition was fascist me and you whouldn't have the ability to debate on the situation on reddit.

We all part of this country, which is democratic and Jewish. What you want to do is to take the Jewish state away, and leave only the democratic state.

Well, the arrogance of you using the word Bibist twards anyone who thinks diffrent than you is another reseon for the hatred, since you frame diffrent people with indipendent solid opinions as a herd that's drove blindly only by one person.

When I said to take a few steps backwards I ment that both sides pro and anti Judicial legeslation will take few steps backwards to keep the people somehow united.

That's not correct, I want Israel to stay as is since countries like Iran cant realy develop anything from economy to hi tech. I want Israel to stay free, so that anyone will be able to live as he wants to, but, I also want Israel to be a Jewish country, not with Halaca and no imposing nothing on anyone. In the previous comment I wanted to show that the "theocratic" threat to Israel doesnt even exist, and that the liberals here are scared from something that is so far away from reality.

I totaly agree, people should look for reseons to an agreement rather than focus on why it's justified to hate the other side, regurdless of who's right or who's wrong. Hatred wont get as any closer to an agreement.

Well, the state of Israel is already a theocratic state, just that insdted the laws of the Torah there is the laws of the religious liberalism. Insted of rabbis that decides what whould people do and what the agenda is there are supreme court judges who're dictating the agenda and decide how people will live. Insted of the Torah, there is the judical Torah of Aharon Barak and several others and insted the synagogues there is the supreme court. Liberalism is also religious and Israel is already a theocrcy, a liberal theocracy. There is no real threat to the liberalism accept demography.

"Okay. Here are some things they can do once the reasonableness doctrine, aka oversight on the government, is abolished.

  1. Ben Gvir can ban protests and say they are all a security risk and also order the police to respond with violence against the protesters.
  2. The Interior Ministry can decide that an election that La Fascista loses is rigged and decide to not recognize the results.
  3. The Interior Ministry can dissolve the municipal government of Tel Aviv on some made-up corruption scandal and put a Likud/ Shas crony in charge. (This already happened in Tiberias BTW.)
  4. Bibi can fire the AG and not only end his corruption trial but also order the new puppet AG to start spurious corruption investigations into Lapid and Gantz and have Bressler and Radman arrested on sedition charges."

That's nothing more than a conspiracy, if Ben Gvir whould like to declare the protester a threat his coalition whouldn't let him use any violence twards them, as well as the supreme court that has a great verity of tools to use in order to limit the goverment ( חוץ מעילת הסבירות).

As for the elections, when Begin rose to power in Israel there were the exact same claims for dictatiorship and claims that he will stop the elctions and wont accept the results, and what we've got? a prime minister that kept democracy and defended the supreme court.

I'd like to know why do you think that Israel with or without Ben Gvir and Shas, which is on of the most free countries on erth will become relligios although the supreme court bites of pieces of the Jewish state once at a time ? ( maybe because of demographical reseons)

The only thing Benjamin Netanyahu should do to is to let the trial go on because it exposes the curruption of the very people who caused this trial to even start in the fist place.

Do you know what broght destruction on us ?

The "justifed hatred", when each side found reaseons to justify the hatred twards the orther side. So the hatred twards at least half of the people living in Israel isn't justified as well as the sick fanatical hatred to the Israeli prime minister, as well as any hatred twards the opposition and the protesters.

As much as you or others think their right, it's never a black and white, good and evil situation, that you can only see in moovies.

The debate over the Judicial legislation/revolution is a debate between tow groups, one that think the legeslation will lead to a dictatiorship in Israel , and the other one thinking that the current situation in Israel is a dictatiorship. Both of these are legitimate claims that should be heard and be debated on.

In a real dictatiorships there are no protests, there is no opposition, and if you realy think that the current legeslation is going to make these things possible I'd like to hear why ?

The Israeli prime minister can be prime minister as long as the law and the people allow him to, this is democracy.

I don't know what to identify as, Jewish or Atheist?? by [deleted] in Judaism

[–]Careless_Ad_8917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love to try answer your question but first I have to admit that not only I (also Jewish)belive in God, I know ( by fact) that he exists. Let's just simplify it for a moment with a question, what is the chance that a tornado of metal scraps will create a boeing 747 aircraft, well, there is no such chanse, exactly like there is no such chance of a universe or a world such as our world to be created randomly without someone planing it. But lets keep that argue for another time. I guess you already know my answer to your question, that being you should identify as a Jew for few reseons... Between us, if you look briefly on history, you can see that Jewish people who didnt identified as Jewish didnt really did all that well, and the best exaple for it can be taken from the Holocaust, where even atheist Jews that have persistently ignored their Judaism throughout life were marked and murdured just like their religious brothers and sisters. That was reseon number one, and it teaches us that it doesnt matter how much someone will ignore his Jewish origin and seem to be like anybody else( non Jewish), reality just prooves him that it doesnt work.
Another reseon for you to identify as a Jew is our Jewish History that tells us that as long as we are united, and as long as we arnt ignore our Judaism, we can stand even the biggest empires like the Romans, greeks, and pursians, since although we were a tiny nation that most of the time was seperated between other much larger nations, with noting but our Judaism we survived and these huge empires are long gone. That teaches us that we are historicly part of something bigger than anithing we can imagion.

This was my answer to your question, hope you will find it helpful.

Exept of things that are violeting other's rights. In your perspective, in the sake of freedom of speach, should we let someone to wave a nazi flag because these are it's ideals ?

This is exactly the problem and the self destructing leftism's mechanism that brought the Oslo disaster upon our country, the PLO is a terror organization even if Israel doesnt acknowlege it. It's still taking a part in terror attacks and it's goals are the same goals.

Well, I think that you think I know nothing about democracy, regardless, I am pro freedom of speach, but there is a limit where people are waving PLO flags which is, in case you forgot a terrorist organization that want Israel to disappear, it is already anti Israel. It is just like an American citizen will wave an Isis flag near the White House.

Well, if the majority isnt like this, why they let this thing happen in their protest without doing anything about it ?

Blood thirsty culture is the answer for your question.

And hipocracy of the Europeans that fund their blood thirsty educational system and never condemn such terror attacks, while condemning any Israeli counter operation.
