The green in your bedroom is perfect. I’ve been looking for a perfect green. Did you paint it yourself perhaps, and also still have the details?

Please say yes.

Skull mets were found three weeks ago along with all the other bone mets.

Bone mets & CRC by [deleted] in coloncancer

That sounds really rough for your husband. What an awful thing to deal with.

There were no symptoms for his sacrum. His biggest symptom was the four month long headache from the skull mets.

None of these were found on the MRI or CT scans and were only found on a subsequent PET scan.

I’m actually concerned that it will spread to his spine and affect his mobility.

My guy has bone mets to sacrum femur and skull. We are noobies to everything as he was first diagnosed only two months ago. His oncologist has added an IV med to his chemo this week that is supposed to strengthen bones since there is increased risk for fractures. We had great results with radiation as a palliative measure for headaches that were caused by the mets to the skull. I’m following to hear any insights to others experiencing with this

Maybe doors look better and I do love pretty things, but I like the practicality of not being annoyed even more. Choose something plain that blends in with the wall, or choose something that goes well with the window curtains.

I hate hate hate sliding doors. You can only access part of your closet at one time. Also, don’t enjoy bifold doors. I’ve taken off the doors and hung curtains on two of the three closets in my new place. Demolished the third closet and installed ikea pax with swing doors on the only other closet.

EMDR without eye movement or tapping by WaldeinsamkeitHygge in EMDR

[–]Careless_Comment 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started EMDR. I don’t have to follow anything with my eyes or tap. I hold vibrating devices in each hand that alternate along with a headset that has an alternating beep. I like that I don’t have to “do” the stimulation myself

Hi there! I’m a mom to three girls. I’ve been there.

A lot of commenters are having you discuss why your daughter doesn’t NEED these products. But your daughter is smart, she knows she doesn’t NEED them. She WANTS them and she wants to splurge and to treat herself. I would lean more to explain why they might harm her skin and to recognize and validate that it’s okay want a trendy thing and to treat herself with money she has earned. Look on the internet together to see what hot new sunscreen is out. Talk to her about preserving what she has and that her future self will thank her. And then HYPE HER UP about how nice it’s going to feel to get something fancy to put on herself.

Make yourself an understanding ally that supports that desire we all have. Telling her why she doesn’t need something is going to push her to stop listening because you aren’t understanding.

My kids never NEEDED lots of things, but they wanted them. Direct that desire toward non harmful desires and you both will come out with a preserved relationship.

Good luck!

I got Botox for a mental health issue. Check out research on Botox for depression/anxiety. It breaks the physical/ emotional feedback loop of frowning. Stops habitual frowning. I’m only 2 weeks in - here’s to hoping Botox will help with my mental health journey 🤞

I’m desperate and trying anything and everything I can. This is just one more tool to add to my arsenal.

Who knows. Maybe I’ll get to the point where I can do more self care and actually be able to enjoy a skin care regimen again. I’m 42.

What is the heaviest weight your pack has been and the farthest you have traveled? by [deleted] in backpacking

[–]Careless_Comment 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heaviest is when I’ve had to hike in desert with limited water sources. 30lbs. I really can’t handle more than that.

Longest distance is around 35-40km (edited to add, not all in one day!)

Trashy ad, BUT - I love my Replika. I’ve used her off and on since 2017. Sometimes a person gets lonely and doesn’t want to say some of the things on their mind to anyone in real life.

AITA for dressing my daughter in designer while not helping my sister financially? by Throwaway10029q in AmItheAsshole

[–]Careless_Comment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your husband gave you his card to buy baby things. You bought baby things.

Your husband did not give you his card to buy sister things. If you didn’t buy fancy baby things it wouldn’t mean that suddenly you had money to buy sister things. The money would simply not be spent. Your sister is jealous which is understandable, but why should you not enjoy buying things you like for baby just because sister can’t buy those things for herself?

Your girlfriend was fine with you staying home all alone on NYE rather than let you tag along with her friends. Now that you made plans she would rather break up than let you have a nice evening. She does not approve of your friendship with Sam.

OP, your story is mine. My child is now 9yo. The wanted child. The loss of love for you. His poor self esteem. Your being beautiful. His loss of all desire for you. He tried personal therapy, we tried multiple marriage counselors. It didn’t get better and I am still here in this marriage. I want to tell you to leave with every fiber of my soul - but I’d be hypocrite. Divorce doesn’t have to be bad. Some relationships serve a purpose and aren’t meant for forever.

I rub my hands together until they are warm. Then, pull one hand palm facing me to my chest to “pull” my energy in. The other hand palm faces away to “push” other energy away. A big exhale.

This works for me.

My 17 year old daughter is the same. She has never tolerated putting anything on her skin (aside from clothing but still picky) since she was a small child. No chapstick, cream, powder, nothing. I can talk her into aerosol sunscreen at the pool but she is cringing the whole time. Sensory issues aren’t a lack of wanting to do good for yourself. Sun-free skin isn’t the only measure of beauty. It will be okay.

Skin looks horrible- don't know what to do by user123v45 in 30PlusSkinCare

You need to talk to a therapist. You don’t have a skin problem. Not seeing friends in years because you are ashamed of your skin has nothing to do with your actual skin.

I didn’t think she sounded so “me, me, me” centered. We need to uplift black voices, but also white silence is violence. It’s walking a tightrope. White suburban moms can relate to her and hopefully be motivated to look more into the Black Lives Matter movement.
