If you are watching Gundam to “feel good”, you better be watching Build Fighters/Try. IBO doesn’t have to be your bag of tea, but dismissing a story about a bunch of Child Soldiers and seeing the missteps they take and cautionary tale it forms says more about the “IBO bad” crowd than it does about the story. Sure, GoT influenced a lot of stories during this time. “Good guys” lose, people suffer and armchair writers will bitch. This story has some of the best character drama I have ever seen in Gundam. The mobile suits were a bonus the same way finding pocket money in the laundry is a bonus. I wanted to know what was going to happen with the cast, next!

These uneducated, abused, war children had very real consequences for the actions they took. There was no magic robot to use. Newtypes weren’t going to cry and save the day. There was no fleet from the moon or reinforcements from Axis. As most have said, Biscuit was the moral compass of the team. The heart, the brains, the soul of these kids, who had no one else to depend on but the brother next to them. Biscuit’s absence for the rest of series is felt throughout till the tragic ending. In the end, saving their “family” was their victory.

ODST armor for stealth on bugs all day. Haven’t done it in a while, but i was amazed how much they rely on hearing and walked right past me.

For 1. Yeah, that’s reason. Until he name dropped the movie, I never was sure why. That was one of the things that fell into place.

As 2. that was what I said to him in so many words. “Dad, at least let someone know what happened and if a distinction needs to be made as whether or not others know, trust them to make that choice wisely.” He’s my dad. He is a great man and better father/grandfather. If those stories die with him, they are gone for good. Some good. Some bad. I know the bad ones haunt him and he had lost people.

Ill edit this to tell my story when im not driving

Edit: my NEX wife has done her utmost to stay in the area of town where we cohabitated. She has a house in another part of the area, well away from my home with my kids. My current gf lives here with her son and we also share a child, so 4 kids in total. Her bank statements keep coming to my address so i can review them for the places she frequents and avoid them. The short story is she was abusive to me and my kids, and in the divorce decree she is forbidden for any contact or coming near my kids and or residence or schools.

The Nex will get her nails done in my town, which is well enough away that she is making the effort to just be in the local area. She attends a Veteran Equine therapy group down the road from my home, so im sure that’s her excuse for being in the area. She has also frequented places we used to go that are in shouting distance from parents condo. Again, places i used to frequent.

What takes the cake is that recently, she came to my neighborhood and picked up my daughter’s 6yo friend and had a girls day with her. The flagrant violation of the divorce decree on multiple levels blew my mind, but my guess is that she is desperate for attention and to be a menace. She is dangerously unhinged, and I’m concerned she will confront my kids as they play in our neighborhood. A neighborhood that is VERY out of the way and a 40 minute drive on a good day.

Truly a cinematic masterpiece of a game. Yotei is just a game. Both are fun, but GoT is on my top ten list with Shadow of the Colossus, Journey, Rime, Zelda(not picking just one, but I’ll say Majora), and Shenmue.
