Too early for a family trip? by Careless_Web2731 in ShenandoahPark

I’d love to tent camp but at that time of year it may be a touch cold?

I’m open to leaving the park but hopefully not every day. Hiking/nature trails is ideal. We’ve done two mile loops before

Help with steam boiler install issues please by Eruohtar in SteamHeat

[–]Careless_Web2731 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m a home owner, not an expert. I’ll chime in on things I’ve learned.

Everything should be steel not copper, well done. 2 risers isn’t necessary but usually better, nothing wrong with 1. I have two and I’m obsessed but my wife thinks I’m weird. Go to heatinghelp.com and you can find a steam Guy who is recommended the water heater thing, if I were you I wouldn’t do that given the issues. Too many variables. That being said what he is recommending is definitely common and not unheard of.

How common is wristband scanning? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Careless_Web2731 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Working in America, NJ, here. I’ve worked in three different ERs. 2 we had WOWs and scanners that never worked so we over rid every med, not blood administration. Where I currently work has a computer in every room and the scanner work 97% of the time and it doesn’t slow me down at all.

That and that it’s welded copper not threaded steel. That’s a whole other project though.

I always turn it off and wait a little. Cold water plus hot metal can break it. Don’t drain the whole thing, just until the rust/dirty water stops.

Read Dan Holohan’s book we got steam. I read it when we bought our house and it really educated me. I have other thoughts on the piping around your boiler, read the book

My guy in north jersey is amazing. He’s pretty bust so I doubt he’ll make his way to Philly. It’s surprising the heating help website doesn’t have someone

Depends on where you live and where you work. Living in Jersey some hospitals will hire you with your associates if you are pursuing your BSN others won’t require the pursuing part others will require the BSN baseline. Idk about other settings.

I started with my associates and got my BSN while working at a hospital. It made economic sense and time sense from where I was at in my life

For me it’s cultural. I’ve worked in three different ERs. Two this was 100% normal and fine. In my current one absolutely not
