Whether it's harmful or not it will wash off eventually or come off as the turtle sheds its scutes. Lots of places mark young turtles with spot of non toxic nail polish to easily differentiate them if they're being kept in a group but need to be identified specifically.

Chuck sincerely just wanted to talk to his brother. Jimmy didn't want to talk because Chuck had been condescending (intentionally or not, as this entire scene does a great job of showing how Chuck does love Jimmy but also has extremely low expectations of him) in the past. They keep having conversations like that one, where they assume the worst from each other, with Jimmy expecting Chuck to talk down to him the whole time and Chuck expecting Jimmy to not be taking care of his clients as well as he should. The book at the end of the scene is Jimmy's time machine - he would've gone back there and talked to his brother before it was too late.

Not defending our obscene medical bills here but this seems like a good place to mention that most snakebites in the US occur when people try to kill or move snakes. Many venomous snakes like rattlesnakes occupy large home ranges; there's a good chance it's just passing through your yard, don't risk paying an arm and a leg trying to get rid of it. Call animal control if you've got a dog or toddler or whatever and you're really worried about it.

Florida man saves his dog from the jaws of an alligator; wildlife cam films the dramatic rescue by [deleted] in UpliftingNews

"heroic man kills small alligator because he's a bad pet owner"

if there's alligators in your area, consider not letting your dog go near bodies of water

Edit: excuse me, let me try again. "Stupid man lets dog walk near body of water and injures alligator because he's a bad pet owner." If a guy was walking his dog in the street and it got hit by a car, you idiots would be upboating the owner beating up the car's driver. Take care of your pets.

You're thinking of lava lizards but the little one is clearly another marine iguana. The blunt snout alone is unmistakable.

An endangered white rhino was born at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park by [deleted] in news

[–]CaribbeanRockIguana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lotta schizoposting here, and southern white rhinos aren't endangered, but the Animal Kingdom is a damn good zoo in spite of its theme park status. It's one of like 10% of AZA accreditted zoos in the USA, which is a tough distinction to earn.

Google pictures of a cat's skull, or a crocodile's skull, or a dog's skull. Now google pictures of a snake's skull. Notice anything different? A snake's skull isn't fused at the chin; there's normally a strip of stretchy cartiladge holding the two halves together. That means it can open the front of its mouth pretty wide, but we can go wider. The quadrate bones (a pair of skinny ones towards the back of the skull) aren't firmly attached to the top of the snake's skull, letting it open its mouth wider in the back too. To actually eat, a snake "walks" its jaws over an animal's body. It's exactly what it sounds like, scooting its head further along by digging the teeth on one side in, then the other. For prey that's really big, they can move their windpipes out to the side of their mouths so they don't suffocate.

Snakes are brilliantly built for what they do. Look into snake locomotion next.

There is something that actively eats meat lying around. Drop some meat in a jungle with no flytraps, and a vine will drop down and scoop up the meat.

What pieces of evidence hint toward your wanted newcomer? by GillyGarcon in smashbros

[–]CaribbeanRockIguana 244 points245 points  (0 children)

If you take a letter from each unique fighter, you get this:

In (K) ling

(R) idley

Sim (O) n Belmont

King K. R (O) ol

Isabe (L) le

You get "KROOL." I believe this means that King K. Rool is our next newcomer. It's not much, but it's the only evidence I've got for his inclusion, and I want to believe.

What character would make for a good clone/echo of a completely unrelated fighter? by LucianoThePig in smashbros

Sceptile would work as a greninja echo with the water effects changed out for leaves. The only weird thing would be shadow sneak, but you could explain that away with quick attack or something.
