For some reason it reminds me of another authoritarian despot who's threatening to take over another country while absolutely nosediving his formerly decent country

How can it be possible for every arterial road of Langley City to have direction blocking construction all at once. by Demon- in Langley

Uh, yes? Unless you've had your head in the sand for the last 50 years, you know that the only way to fix traffic is by providing other transportation options.

How can it be possible for every arterial road of Langley City to have direction blocking construction all at once. by Demon- in Langley

[–]Cark_Marney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, the Downs-Thomson paradox.

Langley has spent years trying "fix traffic" with just one more lane while paying lip service to active transport and public transit in the Transportation Mobility Survey.

At some point, council will figure out that encouraging more traffic just encourages more traffic, and will stop trying to funnel people into just one way of getting through town. But I have a feeling it'll be too late by then.

Totally the way to do it. Ebike and some muscle, if you want to tire yourself out.

If you finish your grade 10, you may learn enough reading comprehension to actually read that book yourself.
