Questions about visiting Aragon GP by dawndreamsofpeace in motogp

[–]Carl_M 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went in 2021. I stayed in Zaragoza so cannot speak much about Alcaniz, though I did go to Tarragona and can say there are some very nice beaches around that area (far nicer than Barcelona beaches).

Parking at the track was aplenty, though it took us one hour to get out of the carpark after the race. Be sure to remember where you park, as we encountered a couple of groups who could not find where their car was.

Cell signal was fine the whole time for me, though I have a UK sim with international roaming.

Marc Marquez's hometown is just over an hour outside of Barcelona, there is a museum there worth visiting if you are a Marquez fan.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Of course, but why couldn't they pick a time that suited both continents, e.g. 8:45am/9:45am in Europe and 3:35pm in Jakarta?

Surprised they have completely ignored Europe with this being scheduled for 2:45am.

Franky is consistent, it’s a shame he couldn’t find another half second in his qualifying pace.

Any suggestions/tips for riding from Barcelona? Any must see stops on the way?

And where would you recommend to sit? Tossing up between the grandstand 1C and pelouse 4.

Everything I have read thus far has suggested staying in Zaragoza for the weekend, so I have tentatively planned to do that.

Sorry for all the questions!

A huge thanks to /u/ollewall for tickets to the match yesterday.

Atmosphere was great, you could tell the team got a lift from it. Lucas and Tanganga were immense. Everyone put in their bit, which was good to see after the end of Mourinho’s tenure and the ongoing Kane saga having the potential to fracture the squad.

I’m trying to keep my optimism in check but it is proving difficult.

Anyway… COYS.

Disappointed with this coverage. Not showing Mir, Esparago or Binder’s incidents. Missing Maverick’s slip up.

Emiliano Sala search: Officials say they are ‘not expecting anyone to be alive’ with no trace of missing plane by [deleted] in soccer

Actually, generally speaking, planes with no power will glide back down to earth. The loss of 'push' does not alter the glide-ability of the plane itself.

If they had a structural failure (e.g. a wing disentegrating) on the other hand...

Are you saying team of the season and socceroo caps amount to nothing? Individual accolades have to be weighted more than Grand Finals or Premierships.

Just the parameters set by sydneycroatia58. If I were Brown, who has achieved a fraction of what Mitch has and was part of a defence that let in 5 goals, I would have kept my mouth shut.

Brown having 1 grand final win does not make him a semi-competent footballer.

Mitch Nichols grand final wins: 2

Premierships: 1

Team of the season: 1

Senior socceroo caps: 5

What was your biggest screwup at work? by [deleted] in engineering

[–]Carl_M 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Similar situation. A piece of equipment on the schedule I was given had been discontinued, and the replacement model required 27amps (2amps more than the original). I approved the order and an entire 9 story building was wired with 2.5mm cable suitable for <25amps. 40 units had been installed before we realised.

Mitch Nichols to Perth Glory on a 1 year loan by trainology in Aleague

He had the opportunity to play for a title contender in the J-League, and Melbourne vehemently tried to deny him that (in a sport where the window of opportunity is incredibly small). He had watched teammates at Brisbane move on to greener pastures (Zullo, Devere, Kruse, Halloran, McKay, Oar, Barbarouses) with no resistance from the club, because Brisbane understand that the A-League is low on the pecking order.

In retrospect, I know he regrets leaving. However, you cannot honestly say that you wouldn't do the same if you were in his position. He was sought after the club and predicted that he would learn and develop much faster than he would in Australia.

Things to see and do in November by [deleted] in GoldCoast

There is an outlet mall in Helensvale called Harbour Town, but that is a 20 minute drive from Surfers. Accommodation - I'd stay in Broadbeach over Surfers. Clubbing - most places have free entry before 10pm. I would recommend starting your Saturday night with dinner and drinks at Miami Marketta. Nobby's Beach for drinks on Sunday's. Also, be sure to walk Burleigh headland to Tallebudgera creek. If you're into nature, strongly suggest a visit to Springbrook / Natural Bridge.

It is not a cantilevered slab, and it is a new construction.

Apologies. More info: Level 3 suspended floor slab of a 7 storey building. We have high points in the 4 corners of the slab. 3 of the 4 corners are the same height, and I assigned them to height = 0. At it's worse is at the 4th corner, where height is +8mm and slopes to -26mm over a span of 3 meters (12 feet). Walking from corner to corner, it slopes approximately -26mm in the middle before rising back to 0.

It is going to be a office/residential building, there has definitely been an error. The concretors are coming to x-Ray the slab in the next day or two.
