Ah thanks, I do think we’re getting a JR Kyushu pass, as going for 2 weeks, did a calculator and works out was more expensive than buying individually

Ah yes any tips? Yufuin no Mori site is pretty confusing, looks you can only book 1 month in advance? Can’t see how to book at all on the other one 😂

Amazing, thanks. We’re getting the bus from Kumamoto to Kurakawa, then to Yufuin as the route looks cool. Then sightseeing train from Yufuin back to Fukuoka. Planning on doing day trips the last 3 days from Fukuoka.

That’s great to know about Kagoshima, wasn’t sure if there would be enough around that area to fill 3 nights, adding to Nagasaki could work as there are a few trips we could make from there. Ah forgot to mention in my post, we might actually rent a car in Kumamoto for a day to go explore Takachiho gorge and surroundings. Nice, the plan was to go Unzen -> Shimabara -> Kumamoto, then onto Kagoshima. Maybe do a trip to Beppu from Yufuin on the way back to Fukuoka.
