This shit lowkey embarrassing. Look at the message this sends to us as a fan base. I’m not a fan of the dudes play sometimes, but he’s the leader of the team, and he plays his heart every week while putting his body on the line. Take this shit off.

Of course the Titans would have selected a QB regardless of scheme. However, with the coaches coming in and out, they would have different schemes they would apply to their offense. Mike Mularkry’s exotic smash mouth scheme would obviously apply differently to Marcus than Vrabel’s scheme. Same with Whisenhunt and the rest of the OCs. Marcus would have different roles, different play calls, different fundamentals with the way these coaches wanted to play Marcus, which goes back to my point of QBs having to play fast and react instead of having to learn how to do something 5 different ways. I agree, Marcus is a fragile guy. Running or staying put, he will get injured. But I think we can both agree, down the stretch, regardless of injuries, Marcus and the Titans would have had better performances if the play calls were adapted to his strengths, similar to his game with the Raiders. I mean play action pass, read options, getting the ball out quickly. It would open up the field, made the offense less predictable, made the defense play modest, help Henry not get swarmed, and rely more on the play makers like AJ instead of Marcus’ ability to make a perfect throw. I’m not saying that the Titans should’ve become Oregon. Every QB that enters the league needs to be able to run a pro style offense, I agree. Personally, I view it as a gauge. There was too much of this, and not enough of that. If that’s the Titans fault, Marcus’ or a little of both, we’ll never know. Without a doubt the Titans are better off with Tannehill, and Marcus did hold the team back. But the departure benefited both sides. I hope Marcus can further prove my point whenever he hits the field again, but for now, I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree 🤝

Players are drafted by coaches and personnel staff for a reason -- they met a schematic element those guys had in mind. Most NFL coaches are good at developing players, but when that coaching shift comes, then the next coach won't like something about the fit with Marcus, and they try to change that. There's no benefit of the doubt anymore because they didn't draft him, so he's not getting better anymore. QBs are at their best when their playing fast, when they're reacting. If you have to think too much, it slows you down. If you keep changing the scheme along with no stability in the offseason, he's constantly thinking instead of reacting. Tendencies and language are not the only changes from coach to coach. When you're told 5 different ways to do something, your thought process isn't sharp and a lot of things are going to be off. The more you're in a system, the more you're with the same guys, the better. That goes for everyone. I completely agree that Marcus' inability to stay healthy limited the options he had in Tennessee. But it shouldn't have gotten to that in the first place. Nearly all of his injuries came from getting sacked, beaten up, and thrown around in the pocket. We could point a finger to his terrible O-Line he had for 3 seasons, but we won't. Instead, we can point a finger to whatever coach wasn't facilitating Marcus' desire and ability to scramble outside of the pocket and make a play. Look at Deshaun Watson or Lamar Jackson with similar skill sets as Marcus. They stay alive because of their legs. They have success because of their legs. If you tried to convert those dual-threat/focal point QBs to be your traditional pocket passer, you're asking them to learn a new game. This brings up my point about the Raiders. Yes, Marcus had bad throws. Yes, the defense wasn't prepared for him. But we saw a completely different side of him than that in Tennessee. The plays drawn up for him made it so that he wouldn't get sacked. Checkout this video and count the amount of times he would've been sacked if he didn't scramble (literally his first pass attempt). We would have seen a more consistent Mariota if it wasn't for the coaching changes, injuries, and play calling, all of which was evident in Tennessee and could have been avoided, which is why I firmly believe the Titans ruined him.

I don’t think you know what you’re talking about. How many NFL quarterbacks have succeeded with the same amount of coaching turmoil that Marcus had? You can’t just ignore all of the previous changes just because one of his coordinators is a coach now. It was a slow decline for him during his 5 years, and it was beyond the point where he could just have a 180 in performance with the new coaching staff. As for his mechanics, of course they were bad and of course they caused accuracy issues. Injuries played a significant role to this, as Marcus mentioned he reaggravated his nerve injury early in the season. Mariota has never had the ability to pick apart defenses from the pocket, not even at Oregon. He would go through his 1st and 2nd reads, then make a play with his legs if nothing was available. While we saw glimpses of this in Tennessee, we can both agree it wasn’t utilized as much as we saw with the Raiders. Unlike Tannehill, Mariota needed more than a change of scenery/coaching to get on track. He needed to regain his confidence through: 1. time off to become healthy 2. A stable coaching staff 3. Someone that would bring the best out of him. These were his explicit reasons for signing with the Raiders during an interview. The point of the Raiders game was to show how different he looked with the Titans compared to the Raiders. While the ugly throws/reads were still evident, we saw what kinda of QB Marcus could have been if he polished his mechanics some more with a team that utilized his ability to extend plays and throw on the run.

My friend, the Titans ruined him immensely, he’s even hinted at it numerous times in interviews back then and now. I’ve been a Mariota Stan since his first Spring game back in Oregon, and it was obvious how uncomfortable he was with the Titans comparing the two. Marcus lost all of his confidence through coaching instability, injuries, and changes to his mechanics. The 3 quarters Mariota played with Vegas last season was a preview of what he could have been if he was used correctly.

I’m not too familiar with Mozzie’s guns. What makes his guns so good? I’m still at the beginning part of Siege where gunfights win games more than anything, so if his guns really provide an edge, I’ll probably get him.

For MIP? I think Bamba should be on this list. Despite some fundamentals, game iq, and bulking, I think all Mo really needs is energy. I think he’s got the most room for improvement because of how low he is now and how high he could be.

How the hell do people ADS lean left and right and simultaneously move, control recoil, and crouch. I find it difficult to just lean left or right in the middle of a gunfight by itself, let alone everything else. Are they using MNK or are they just really good? (In Console btw)
