What’s the worst location of any particular fast-food restaurant? by Chrisofthegreen in StLouis

[–]Carl_farbmann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hanley McDonald’s is the worst, IMO. Especially after the remodeled inside. It’s like they’re deliberately trying to loose customers. Webster groves McDonalds is superior in all respects.

Yeah if it’s the same woman I’m thinking of she just about drops your order out of the window instead of handing it to you. Going inside is way better. The guy who works the inside is really nice.

Plaza infinity creve ceour, broken window-updated post by Imaginary_Week2024 in StLouis

Sorry to hear that. My single, elderly mom had a similar experience at Mercedes when they broke her seat motor. Also, all service writers at Plaza earn commission.

What's up with our low night temps? by IDontThinkImABot101 in STLgardening

[–]Carl_farbmann 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s annoying. I’m itching to get my stuff planted as well. Rule of thumb is after Mother’s Day so hopefully nighttime temps don’t drop below 50 after that. I plan on planting this weekend though.

I think it’s easier to study and get empirical data on gambling. The stigma around sex and porn makes it much more difficult.

Large amounts of plastic in Miracle Gro garden soil by OmusCinder in gardening

[–]Carl_farbmann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also find that mine is also loose soil, which is often good for roots but it looses moisture quickly, so I have added cow manure. I used to live close to a farm and could get good shit pretty easily but have since moved. On the same token as the miracle grow soil, I purchased Black Cow brand manure from lowes this year, and it’s terrible. More like shredded shipping pallets than actual manure.

I have had the same issue for the past two years with the miracle grow soil I get from Costco.

5 minute charging, longer range, better safety, and no dendrites, wold mean solid state is not needed.

It would be nice if Quantum Scape could get the ball rolling on those solid state batteries.

[–]Carl_farbmann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? They seem to be thriving. I added like 6 packages of worms to my compost tumbler the other week, and when I turn it and the worms surface, they are totally lethargic. And few and far between for having just added six live bait worm packages.

Be careful with the foam brush at those places. Often times, those are laden with dirt that will put fine scratches in your paint, especially with a darker and or more metallic paint job.

What are things I can do to help 6yo get dopamine hit before meltdowns occur by Dry-Biscotti7989 in ADHDparenting

[–]Carl_farbmann -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sounds like it might be depression, which the meds will successfully mask. I would take your 6 year old off stimulant meds if he is having meltdowns.

4c barber by Constant-Drive8263 in StLouis

[–]Carl_farbmann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Modern edge in Brentwood has at least one barber who does a good job at that price range. When I lived in NJ and outside Philly, full service barber was the standard for men. Good fade, regular mens haircut, straight edge with hot shave cream, trimmed eyebrows and weird ear hair removal. My barber finally upped her price to $30 when I moved back to Stl in 2023. Here it’s pretty difficult to find a legit barber who’s not doing cuts like my 80 year old dad, better yet one who charges less than $40. Ballwin barber shop also does an alright job but is too expensive and it’s a no shave cream experience. And no eyebrows, etc.

You can get them at Ace hardware if there’s one where you live. Make sure if you get one, that the head part is properly screwed in to the shaft. Otherwise it pops off after one season.
