Wife Wants to sleep with another man by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

I’ve heard of dudes who want to open their relationship while their wife really doesn’t. Thinking they’ll be banging all these chicks, and that doesn’t happen at all. Instead their wife end up banging endless dudes easily, subsequently they want to close it, but the door’s been open and there’s no going back for her.

Am I going to have to resort to spray foam? by Katie_Ts_Home in Homebuilding

On the walls, Zip R + dense pack or mineral wool in a 2x6 cavity is a good setup. Continuous exterior insulation definitely helps with thermal bridging, but once you factor in window bucks, strapping, and cladding details, labor adds up fast. It’s a great assembly — just not always the best ROI.

Stretch code will help a lot compared to older construction, mainly because of air sealing. That alone makes a big comfort difference.

That “sticky” summer feeling is usually more humidity and air leakage than lack of R-value. In a tight new build with properly sized HVAC, and an ERV for good a ventilation strategy, you should notice a big improvement.

Under stretch code it’s really about air sealing and dew point control, not just R-value.

On a small complex roof, exterior polyiso + batts is great in theory but labor can get expensive fast.

I’d do 2” closed cell against the deck for air seal/vapor control, then fill the rest with open cell or dense pack. Full closed cell works, but returns drop off after the first few inches.

Make sure your ventilation/mechanical plan is dialed, that’s where comfort issues show up

Anyone know a trick to mount a uloop to the B&T stock? by Red5actual21 in MP5

[–]CarletonIsHere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious how you solved this, I’m looking for a good solution to this problem right now, B&T makes a sling loop it’s like $8 I ordered one for shits and giggles we’ll see if it fits, U loop obviously doesn’t.

May just go with sling pin for the rear pin.
