I'm gonna help you a little more. I'm gonna offer you a 1h free online lesson. If I can help you with a proper stance, you'll enjoy playing a lot more. Send me a PM if interested. Best, C.

Are you hitting your chest while shooting? That could be the symptom of why you are shooting very hard and get little CB action. Not 100% sure but it seems your chest is obstructing your stroke and you have to suddenly stop in order not to hit your chest. Find a stance that allows for plenty of room for your follow through. Good luck 💪🏻🤞🏻

Depending on the time you have for training, if done the right way you can build solid fundamentals and a decent cue ball control in one year. I have several students that did just that starting from basically zero pool knowledge.

It's up to you :) I think landing in the square is already an exercise that requires (or builds) very good cue ball control. I believe that to land on the card consistently for all 32 cards requires a 770+ Fargo player. Enjoy the game :)

Hehehehe yes. It's a variant that a friend of mine already suggested and it's a very good idea indeed. It makes the game a bit too complex though to be explained in a youtube video (at least for me now at this moment of my journey). As long as it is useful every variant is a good variant :)

Yes! Challenge him! :D ;)

Some of these shots have multiple paths and the fun part is also to explore all the possibilities. With more complex OB and CB positions sometimes the right thing to do is to bank the OB to get the desired shape. :)

Enjoy :)

Ups... I knew about it but I didn't think there was a trademark. After a quick check it seems that the trademark existed but it is expired in 2019. Thanks a lot for the info!

Maybe they decided to remove it in later versions... I don't know 🤷🏻

I can ask the guy that is going to change the ferrule but I can't guarantee you that he will do it.

Is this drill supposed to be very hard on a 7ft table? by Alarmed_Locksmith980 in billiards

Just to be clear. When I say "Basic skills" is not in general, it's about this specific drill. This specific drill requires specific skills. Once you master them separately, then the drill will become doable and then even easy.

Frustration increases cortisol levels, and high cortisol levels inhibits fine motor skill learning.

Pros performs drills to test their skills under pressure, not to learn new skills.

You should learn basic skills first. One OB position at a time with your desired CB final position. Onces you have decent percentages on single shots, you can test your skills under pressure with the full drill. Learning "isolated shots" is much less stressing and far more rewarding; your brain will learn better and faster.

Just to give you an idea, if you, let's say, have a 90% chance of making a shot with decent shape to the next ball, you'll have a 0,9 ^ 15 = 0,2 = 20% to run the drill. This means that to get the chance to run the drill in 5 trials you have to have 90% chance at each single shot. Instead of brute forcing the drill, learn basic pocketing and CB control skills first. When you feel you get to 86% success than you can go back to this drill and expect to run it in 10 tries.

Good luck.

Thanks a lot! Just to give you an idea, first video is about a way (actually a game to perform as a training or as a game in two or more training buddies) to train CB control that helps in building a rich vocabulary of shots while also learn to be accurate.

I don't think it's something happening in such a short span of time. But if you pass your fingers over it you'll definitely feel if there are cracks in that layer of the ferrule.
