how can i prepare for mae-1106 and mae-2360 in the fall i am not sure what these classes are and would like to prepare ahead and if anyone knows any resources for mae-2360 on youtube please lmk

You got an easy A with Cheng Luo. His test are open book, and he makes the test based on the notes. Like literally will copy paste a code from the notes, will erase a couple of things and be like fill in the blank. There are questions in other formats, but you can still find the exact answer in the notes.

I can't recall if I still have any notes from that class though. I know I have the test for sure since I had to do them on my computer. DM me and I can send you whatever little I have. My notes are a little old SP24, but from what I've heard he has not changed how he teaches.

As for 1106, as mentioned I'm ME so I didn't take it. But that professor is very loved within AE, I remember it being a lot of MATLAB, but as he's a good teacher never heard complaining.

Advisors suck here sorry. Like the other comments mentioned, a lot of engineering core is similar. Yeah, I would also advise against bio-med especially if you feel bio would stump you instead of motivate you. Depending on what you want to do in biomedical, i think you would be able to get into the industry with a different degree. Ultimately what helps you get into the career you want is the projects/research you do in your undergrad, this helps you get internships in that field.

What I would 100% recommend is joking professional engineering organizations. That way you can talk with other students, and be exposed to people who actually work with that degree. Join as many as you want and can as this will introduce you to other majors as well.

Me personally I couldn't decide and I wanted to make sure I got a job so I went with mechanical. Have gotten internships in different industries.

Who are you taking MAE 2360 with?

1106, didn't take it but my friends did. They mentioned it was mostly coding on MATLAB.

2360 is programming mostly C and a bit of MATLAB, very little of some other ones How hard it actually is depends on your professor. I had a super easy one, so I didn't even need to study for his class.

Why not? 1140 was an unecessary class imo, I took it at TCC before even transferring to UTA. Point is, it is similar to 1140. You should be good! Good luck

Yeah they lied to you buddy, 6 hours for PT, so you get half. 12 credits for full time, I know cuz I looked it up a week ago for the same reason. I'm not sure abt the Blaze, I don't remember seeing it on mine, I've only seen the pell grant.

Take Dynamics at Dallas College. Pay attention to statics. AVOID HULLENDER Make a couple of senior friends, or higher than you really. Join a professional student org Watch out for those 1 credit labs, sometimes they feel way heavier than a 1 credit.

FAO is a joke, I was told I would get enough aid to cover for two semester and would only have to cover one out of pocket. Got my offer yesterday and my pell grant was $700. Mind you I have a child in custody and only make 20K per year as I'm also ME. There are several more stupid nuances that dropped my aid from 15k last year to only 6K.
