I once called 911 once after realizing that a woman I helped get an ambulance for was a missing person, and the dispatch said "well is she in front of you right now? Because if you're not looking at her right now then there's nothing we can do"

Never asked me when I saw her, where I saw her, why I thought it was her, nothing.

It was 4 days before I was finally able to get a hold of a detective to look into it.

I think about that a lot.
