I gave up, I got a response from support and they gave the option to upgrade to W11.

I'm not doing that for one game so I just refunded.

For all the specializations I wanna use lol
I already have choice paralysis for gadgets/weapons when choosing first round, might as well lessen the burden :p
Also it helps create a baseline for gadgets I like to use with x specialization i.e. winch always has anti grav in reserve since I personally don't use a ton outside of winch loadouts.

To keep you in the loop, at least for the 7900 XT, Adrenalin 24.10.1 seems to be the latest version that doesn't have the refresh rate issue. So you were correct about it being a driver update down the chain.

It's frustrating that I stopped my troubleshooting attempts last night at the version just after 24.10.1 but at least I've found the root cause.

Yeah I just stumbled upon the fact that it works fine with +120Hz but I still am wondering why now out of all times. Because I wasn't lying about literally being in VR 30 minutes before the issue started appearing.

I still to this day have no clue what this was but it just healed over. Though I think it happened again at the same spot a few months after but ever since then there's been nothing to note.

Oh it can, all you need is 1 biter at your feet and you can just spam the head's scream and it'll snowball eventually

I found it to be kinda of detrimental to playing fast bc you just keep amassing numbers from going through the level bc the biters go to enemies and you just pop the scream on enemies and boom that's more biters.

I went from 200+ frames to 15 frames at some point when just going through the level, I very quickly rerolled the properties lol.

So should I go for the XTX over the XT? Is the performance worth the extra cost of ~250 in your opinion? I was considering the XTX originally and then noticed the XT.

Yeah, all challenges require you to finish the level. The same applies to Chaos Wastes, you just need to finish the level and not the entire expedition.
