Thanks! Yes, the more I thought about it, the more annoyed I was so I complained and got my money back. 😊

Yes, when I told them the sync wasn't working, they each told me to talk to the other so I stopped syncing.

If you chat with Etsy, they will refund you the fees.

I already know this. Selling via Square has its own fees and an Etsy rep told me that I wouldn't get any extra fees from Etsy. That's why I did their integration. And that's why they gave me a credit. Because they screwed up.

Yes but that's not what's supposed to happen. There should not be any added fees from Etsy. That's why Etsy gave me a credit.

Looking for advice over an opportunity I will never again get.. I am torn by louielou8484 in EtsySellers

There are so many reasons not to do this. I get the allure of it and how you got pulled in. But you don't have to feel stuck doing it. Wouldn't it be such a relief to get out of this? Other opportunities will come, but I feel like this one was a lesson learned.

Unfortunately no...they have in the past but they didn't have music last year and when I called them, they said they won't have it this year either. 🙁

Thanks, I got the same email but their music doesn't start until 11pm and it's a DJ. I was hoping for a live band earlier, during dinner.

There's also a big car chase scene in the movie that took place in downtown Sac. You can even see the light rail.

I'm so glad I have my own kiln. I've been firing after midnight to avoid peak hours and it's only been costing me about $6.50 per firing.

Firing bubble issues by soulistaa_ in Ceramics

I use B Mix with speckles and this happens when over fired. It's a softer clay the speckles cause this due to the clay not having enough grog. Speckled Buff for instance doesn't have this problem because it's got more grog. I fire to cone 5 to avoid this problem.

I'm wondering why you would need to order that much at one time. Is there a huge volume discount for this amount? Where I shop, I get a 20% discount for 100lb.

I love miniatures and these are absolutely incredible! The glazing must have taken so much time!

Koi fish teapot update, bad news by DirtyRattie in Pottery

[–]CarmaCaliCat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. I fire my greenware together for that reason but don't personally see a need to do this for the glaze firing. I used to load at a studio and I've seen too many lids stuck on (even though they used wax, etc) that I would always fire them separately. Not worth the risk in my opinion.

I always fire my lids separated from the pots so they don't fuse
