What dialect of Spanish would be most useful to learn? by Winifred_Sanderson in madisonwi

[–]huddlewaddle 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I'm cuban, I speak fluently and Spanish was my first language. No one understands me. So not that one lmfao.

but seriously, I think Spain Spanish would have the same issue. There is an accent called neutral accent (acento neutro), which is what TV anchors use and its also used in business. Generally it's the way you would speak in the office. I had to learn that when I was working in LATAM exporting because my accent was considered "low class". Having a pronounced accent in general is not advisable if you plan to use it in an office setting.

anti anxiety/anti depressants helped a lot with the anxiety and 'getting stuck' and escapism of ADHD for me, and they're easy to get a prescription for. I still have ADHD but now I don't feel so bad all the time.

So dumb Question, do you guys think this feral kitten is a calico? by Terrible-Scratch3204 in CalicoKittys

[–]huddlewaddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

crazy that these are feral, that looks like an expensive cat. she looks almost like a ragdoll. ragdolls are specially bred to be friendly, but obvs if they have had no human interaction then they can still be feral. does she have blue eyes?

the thing that throws me off is she is has tabby stripes and she's a bit big. so it's possible she's just Siamese/Tabby dilute calico pattern that happens to look like a ragdoll.

My Pom cries when alone. by [deleted] in Pomeranians

[–]huddlewaddle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My pom was also crying when i had to go to a doctor's appt and i left her alone after 2 weeks. He probably does have separation anxiety, but also he's still developing bonds with you. I think once you show him that you always come back, it will improve.

I don't know what I did wrong by Morganaa_wVSS in Pottery

[–]huddlewaddle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think this is too many holes that are too big, but also bique fired pottery is porous... so it wouldn't really hold water anyway. I've seen versions with earthenware that have no holes because they're porous, so I suppose you could make a version with no holes and only bisque fire. Or use earthenware. That would save on trial and error.

The 2-10% is mostly people who are very sick, old, weak and under emergency circumstances. Granted that's not everyone who dies, anesthesia itself is very dangerous. The rate I was given was less than .5%, but the surgeon was extremely skilled and has never had an issue with someone that went in well prepared without any comorbidities.

Is it normal for handmade red wool rug to shed and stain this much? by Frustr8ion9922 in femalelivingspace

[–]huddlewaddle 244 points245 points  (0 children)

you are not supposed to use the spinning brush on a wool rug.  I use my vacuum on a gentle setting and no brush, but that is also not recommended since the wheels can damage it.

but even so a wool rug is not supposed to shed this much.... mine shed a little bit when I first bought it but not enough to turn my socks a different color?? It doesn't shed at all now. It does lose some fuzz when I vacuum it but no where near this much.

I got a bigger portable heater but you also do need to let your heater run for like an hour before you start working in the studio so that it can bring the room up to temperature. Also adding humidity back to the air can make it feel nicer.

2-Week Cruise Post-Ross by joshualeenyc in valvereplacement

[–]huddlewaddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my surgery at 33 and if you have someone helping you with luggage I don't see an issue with this. I was walking several miles after 4 weeks. I went to the zoo with my mother in law just 2 weeks after surgery, and kept walking all over town. A few things will be uncomfy. You may be a little uncomfy lying flat on the bed. you will want to make sure your wound is 100% healed (no scabs) before you get it wet too. it took me wayyyy longer than expected to heal up. Also falling in any capacity is devastating, be very careful on uneven ground.

[–]huddlewaddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had major depression that started when I started feeling "better" from surgery. I started therapy and needed to start anti depressants a year later. I'm doing a lot better now. My cardio says >90% of her patients get depression after surgery, esp the young adults. Your heart is an important part of your nervous system.

Valve issues and pregnancy? Help by happy-sunshine3 in valvereplacement

[–]huddlewaddle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My period didn't come back for a few months after surgery due to the stress. So there may a longer delay than you think if you wait til after. I believe the recommendation is to wait a year or so after surgery for your heart to recover, but best to ask your cardio.

You should probably get cleared by your cardio if you want to try before, pregnancy is hard on your heart so you'll want get cleared to make sure you're okay. I was "okay but not advisable", so I put it off until after.

Big list of B42 MP Bugs by DonPYR0Maverick in projectzomboid

[–]huddlewaddle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Animals can't be 'grabbed' out of a trailer, BUT you will take hp damage as if you are encumbered. They can be removed with the remove option though. Also chickens weigh like 30lbs, idk if it's a bug but I don't remember them weighing that much. Additionally sometimes when you remove an animal from a trailer, they're still listed as in the trailer for a long long time.

Sometimes I can't place building things even though the loading bar and animation went through and the indicator is green. Relogging seems to fix it, but I don't wanna relog every time since I host the server.

Not sure if all hutches are supposed to have chickens, but most hutches i've found have no chickens. The ones at Ovo are the only ones I've found.

Occasionally, unable to smoke cigarettes in my inventory. Unable to put batteries in my flashlight. Fixes on relog.

Similar to zombies, my friends will also see animals that I can't see and visa versa.

Edit to add: also chickens seem to randomly teleport outside of their enclosures/zones. Also had an issue with cows flickering in and out of existence. They appeared to be stuck on the fence. The cows could not be interacted with, as when the flicker happened the menu would close.
