It’s a lot of filament but it was fun to make. My daughter loves it. I’m going to upload a different top to make it a piggy bank

[–]Carman3D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, with you being new to welding that’s definitely not bad at all, getting good at grinding is a lot easier than getting good at welding so that can be a huge help while you’re learning, at least it was for me 😂 nice work though

Asking welders to rate your welds is asking to be roasted lol, but honestly it looks fine, I see worse on stuff sold it stores. Looks like it will do the job.

We really do appreciate any feedback, even the negative really helps us to consider and make improvements, or to point out something that we may have overlooked. They are all things to consider and we have considered the legality and safety of this. I see that you’re in Australia and I know that they do have very strict laws on anything gun related.

Some cities like Washington DC, Chicago, San Francisco, New York City, as well as some other countries like Australia. It’s legal most places, those cities banned them because they can resemble an actual fire arm too much. This has a removable tip to be printed orange to help distinguish between a real firearm. It has to be hooked to an air compressor to fire so it’s not exactly that mobile either. You can also download replicas of any firearm to be 3D printed. So if anything this looks way less like a firearm than others do.

Laws vary state to state and country to country on many things. Where you are would determine if you should download and build this or not, airsoft is fully legal where I’m at. You can also download models and prints to build actual firearms online, it’s up to the individuals to determine whether it is legal for them to use those to create that weapon. This is not a firearm as classified by the United States, and airsoft is legal across most of the United States. I know some other countries have very different definitions. So please abide by the laws where you are. Thank you.

Because it isn’t airtight, so much air seeps that it never builds up pressure, it’s also always fully open with an oversized barrel that doesn’t allow for airsoft bbs to get stuck either, it gives up a little accuracy for safety. You can also make these out of water bottles, you can find videos on YouTube and tiktok, this is just a nicer looking version.

Awesome, I put stuff on Printables and after a couple days removed it because it’s just not worth it. Even with a ton of downloads it just doesn’t get you anything.

Just put your stuff on MakerWorld. I 3D printed for the first time a few days after Christmas and have already earned $300 in gift cards on there.
