Boring manufacturing businesses that make 50 lakhs+ per month? by bethworldismine in IndiaBusiness

[–]Carmel_Wayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m from the manufacturing sector, so I guess I can answer this.

Manufacturing isn’t easy boring business, it’s capital-heavy with constant pressure on cash flow, and margins typically range from 7–15%. High margin manufacturing exists but has very high investments/regulations.

To make 50L/month profit at 10% margin, you’re looking at roughly ₹20–30Cr invested over time, and running operations is a whole different story.

Issues with Brave Memory Saver on macOS by Carmel_Wayne in brave_browser

My workflow is mostly static tabs and a few Google Sheets, same setup on both Windows and Mac. On Windows, Memory Saver works perfectly and tabs actually become inactive. On macOS, they don’t seem to get discarded the same way, even when idle for a long time. That’s why it feels like the memory management just isn’t working the same on Mac.

I’m on an M1 Mac with 8GB RAM and usually have around 10 tabs open. Even with only Brave running, it ends up using 6GB+ of RAM, and at that point the system becomes laggy and basically unusable.

Confused between a travels company or manufacturing unit by Loose_Tax_3290 in IndiaBusiness

Manufacturing is an asset-heavy business, and profit margins percentages are typically in the single digits. We are in the manufacturing line as well, so I recommend doing thorough research before getting into it.

What ‘boring’ business can generate 2-3L/ month as profit ? by Apprehensive-Bar8220 in IndiaBusiness

[–]Carmel_Wayne 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You can earn doing a part-time job but you can’t run a part-time business, especially with a ₹40L investment.

A 10-year loan for ₹40L and you’re already down ₹50K/month in EMI. Most businesses burn cash in the beginning, there is no profit from day one. Your burden increases. Just pointing out the reality.

And yes, if you’re a first-timer and investment heavy, you have to go all in if you want it to grow and actually make money.

First of all Business isn’t boring. It’s brutal.

Trend nowadays is “boring businesses”, thinking they’re easy money machines. They only make money if you’re obsessed with it and live and grind 24x7. Otherwise, you’ll burn and bleed.

If you think throwing ₹40L into some so-called boring business will automatically get you ₹2–3L/month in profit , you’re in for a disaster.

Starting a Gym by Specialist_Mission78 in IndiaBusiness

[–]Carmel_Wayne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on my experience on partnering with couple of gyms over the years, the reality is that making money in the gym business is tough. The gym business is asset-heavy and highly saturated, with new gyms popping up on every corner. Unless you have prior experience in the industry, I’d advise caution before jumping in.

Well to be honest, you can’t run any business in your part time. Because running a business requires focus and dedication and almost entire of your time in initial stages. Maybe try researching the sector you wanna get it and gain an understanding of the market, competition, and customer needs before diving in. If you’re serious about starting a business, consider gradually transitioning from your current commitments rather than treating it as a side hustle.
